    I checked the bank - still no money.

    Then I reread an earlier e-mail from Popeye confirming the transfer of money, and at the bottom was a direct dial number for his representative in the UK.....

    I phoned expecting to be fobbed off with "data protection, we can't talk to you blah blah blah" but spoke to a charming woman who said
    "Ah yes Ms Oyl, we received your £££££££ on the 26th and will be transferring it on the 29th" :eek: :eek: :eek: When I expressed surprise that OH would give instructions for them to hold our money she told me that was the default date if no date was specified......:confused:

    But she's going to CHAPS it now :D:D:D ( I pointed out that Barclays -> Barclays BACS would suffice. She'd better not charge me for CHAPS)

    I'll be happier when I see my new bank balance.

    Chap at work bought me a Snickers and i've put it in the fridge for tomorrow :D (It would have been my second otherwise :rotfl: ) But celebrate away.

    And when Popeye e-mailed me to ask about my day, I referred him here, to save typing it all over again :rotfl:
