I've listed the books on Amazon :o :rotfl:

That was proactive - and fast! :A

EDIT: there's a haze of constant rain falling here too now. I was planning to go out today! :(

Amazon is pretty fast at the listing.

And I'm aware how much my challenge is slipping. :o

Day 52 draws to a close and it really hasn't been a productive one :o

Failed to do a Boot Fair
    Failed to do some writing
Have eaten enough to put ON weight
And it rained almost non-stop until I lost the will to do anything

Tomorrow is another day, but I need to get rid of this ennui. :o

    On the positive side:
I listed about 40 books on Amazon, one was a surprisingly rare offering, bought at £2.99, minimum price in the marketplace £19.95   It remains to be seen if someone is prepared to pay such a ridiculous price :rotfl:

I've shopped and menu planned for the week (other way round really :D )

    And I've got BIL's birthday present, it's a special one and I've been really [strike]mean [/strike]MSE

I've started a notebook - they seem to rescue others I'll see if it gets me going. :o In it I'll put my lists.

The sitting room is really getting there - though it will depend on how much stuff I bring back from the boot fair tomorrow......

well the fact that you have listed 40 books more than makes up for not doing a boot sale in my opinion!

    And the notebook

And the [STRIKE]mean[/STRIKE] MSE birthday present.

All good stuff, to be celebrated :T :T :T

A lot of that is pretty good! The book prices can be odd, tho - I've got a travel book from the 1980s thats priced on Amazon for over £40, but never sold - 3 relistings! I'll try again tho. And an adult comic book (science fiction, not !!!!!!!) with six autographs in it, I sold it for £20, but that was what it was on for when I first put it on - when I checked, AFTER I'd sold it, other copies of the same comic, without any autographs, were on sale for £90! Check other people's prices every so often, to make sure you're not out on your own in either direction, if that makes sense.

Sounds like the most important thing for you at the moment is still missing Popeye, and feeling really blue because of it. I felt quite low today - fortunately, when I went out for a walk to blow the cobwebs away I met up with a friend, and had tea there, it was really nice in the end. But I've eaten a ton of stuff since I came back home at 6.30, bit of a shocker, but I'm looking forward to starting again tomorrow now, and I wasn't before I met my mate.

Sleep well, anyway, Olive - things are *going* to go pear shaped when it rains so badly, we just do what we can when we can.

Hi Olive - you can't do a boot fair in the pouring rain - the debts aren't *that* bad.... and if you had to take a picnic and be on your own - then absolutely, I'd have bottled it. We're with you, honey. I understand about the not *wanting* to go out too, tho I started it long before I was middle aged (and I've only just admitted to being middle aged!).

I am well middle aged...especially after back was groaning from gardening yesterday..there was a time when i would have put on a BBQ afterwards..it was all i could manage to put on slippers:rotfl: :rotfl:

I listed loads on Amazon last time and am going to re list for the beginning of Sept hopefully some text books will go!

Middle-aged.... oh yeah.... I'm a bit late in my acknowledgement of middle age, I must say :o

I'll have to get back on Amazon... its a slow and steady trickle - but if I was clearing my debt at Hypno's rate, I'd be debt free by Christmas! Now isn't that a thought ...

  • It certainly is a very good thought..i keep popping in on Hypno's thread for an energy fix..sounds like one of those games..oops just reminded me of chore wars!
We should have another version called debt wars, Hypno will be way out in front there!
