    I'm really quite excited. :D:D:D
  • I have teenagers like that...my DD1 is so sharp she could cut glass! I am always in the wrong according to her when we argue, but then again..i always said i let her win sometimes for the sake of harmony, so if i am big enough to do it then she should know when to back off with me!
    That way i sneakily always win..I think!:o

Have a good time tonight..not that we are jealous or anything:rolleyes:

    :o:o:o:o:o:o:o
I think I've bottled out of going :o:o:o

    Here are my reasons:
    1. chap who can get me tickets says not backstage, on the grass. It is an open air concert. He says I'll [STRIKE]get in the way [/STRIKE] be a distraction.
    2. Picnic required, and I'll feel a wally sitting with all those posh hampers on my own. :o
    3. It's an hours drive each way, and when I popped out earlier the motorway was at a standstill and I thought of leaving a concert venue with hundreds of other cars.....:o
    4. I have to get up early for a boot fair.
Basically, I'm doing what I usually do. Staying in.
I know I'm lazy and I'll regret it but I don't want to do it on my own. :o

So before I go I must:
    • hang out my bedding to dry, and possibly a couple more loads. bedding about to be brought in & ironed :D
    • get some stuff into the loft, and some crates down. severely cream crackered, hall littered with stuff to sort.
    • Pack Boot fair stuff into crates to go into Sis's car tomorrow. will shortly begin this
    • List some more pf Popeyes [strike]carp[/strike] treasure on e-bay so that [strike]other sad anoraks [/strike]discerning buyers can spend their bank holiday buying them. :Dhave managed only 3 things - there's a problem with their picture loading, it's not just me apparently
    • Get a few bits in town done & collected a clothes rail from a freecycler for tomorrow:T
    • Google directions for tonight :Dho hum
    • Lounge in a scented bath, beautifying myself :rotfl: :rotfl:am feeling quite down about my wussiness, so will still do this. :o

My friend has offered to record the evening, but I feel shabby for nearly going, and then backing out :o And I feel a bit down for choosing to stay in again. I get so I go out less and less, and now don't actually want to go out. :o I'm so very middle aged tonight.
  • I would have backed out for those reasons as well! and you know it will pour down......shudder, in the rain, stuck cars and bloomin long queue!

And the rain continues  The car is loaded and we gave up on the 7am boot fair, will consider another one at 11am, or even another one tomorrow

Hi Olive - you can't do a boot fair in the pouring rain - the debts aren't *that* bad.... and if you had to take a picnic and be on your own - then absolutely, I'd have bottled it. We're with you, honey. I understand about the not *wanting* to go out too, tho I started it long before I was middle aged (and I've only just admitted to being middle aged!).

:o My sis left her couple of boxes here, I said I'd either Boot them or take them to the charity shop.

I've listed the books on Amazon :o :rotfl:

The August BH rain continues. I don't however wish to bring the stuff back into the house. Worse still shove it in the loft.

No wonder Mooloos customers leave their stuff in her doorway; almost anything to get rid of it.
