Just think how many points can be racked up on that!:rotfl:
I think you would be on the gold cup winners medals with a gazillion points:rotfl: :rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Afternoon :hello:
Well I had trouble with this site last night after I posted
So when I got up at some unearthly hour this morning I set the computer to seek out virus's (Virusii?). (and I also set the BM going)
And I got to the Boot Fair at 7am.:D
There were plenty of sellers, loads in fact. But it was unbelievably empty of buyers. :rotfl: And I can't get over some of the odd conversations I've heard from non-buyers!:
"Oh I had one of those, but I gave it to my daughter. I really regretted giving it to her!"
and? and? it's 50p, (why didn't she buy it?)
And frequently I heard
"How Much?" Answer "10p"
Why bother to ask if you didn't want it? how much cheaper did you want it? If you're interested in it enough to ask, why is 10p/50p not acceptable????
Not counting the "have you got it in x size? or colour?"
And the end? £21.50 after my pitch fee :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
DS2 helped me when I got home and asked if I hadn't come back with more than I'd taken
But I spent some time after I got home ensuring the sitting room isn't re-occupied:
- Boot load to the charity shop (tomorrow Mooloo, I wouldn't leave it in a doorway)
- Box full for e-baying
- Wheelie bin full

We should have another version called debt wars, Hypno will be way out in front there!
If only Hypnos energy was catching :rotfl:
But I do know of a web-site, marketing tapes that can impart such energy........:rotfl:0 -

As you say, £21.50 is £21.50 you didn't have this time yesterday!!! I am ashamed to say that I don't enjoy boot sales in the slightest......hence my recent spate of charity shop/dump/giving away frenzies.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. There is an area of the sitting room that is now clear. It is possible to sit on the sofa and see the TV......there was NO way I was going to put thatstuff back in there. So I've joined you Hypno in supporting the local charity shops.
I've been down the garden to do some harvesting
Had to clear away the undergrowth to reveal the 3 gooseberry bushes, one of which is a late variety. Reaped 6 (SIX) gooseberries.
Weeded the veg patch in order to dig up 3 (THREE) carrots
The leeks are mere blades of grass in thickness, under the chickweed.
Whereas the brambles are healthy, and there are plenty of fallen apples.
So the score in the garden:
Weeds & plants left by previous owners = 3 blackberry and apple crumbles
New veg patch, with purchased bushes & seeds =:rotfl:
Frozen peas tonight, the 3 carrots are either going to be prepared and then frozen for when Popeye returns, or I'll frame them.0 -

You are almost self sufficient there OliveOyl :T
:rotfl:
(I am just jealous......not a single edible thing in my garden this year apart from Mint......and nettles)

Bob packs bag to head to Olives, for edible stuff...and apples, yum!
Well done on surviving the boot sale. I know what you mean about folk rummaging through your bits! I did the local one, but didn't mind the natter..most stuff neutral anyway..and have to confess stuff still in my porch, but Mr.B shifting it as we speak!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
