I have just bought some glasses from www.justgoodspecs.co.uk I originally went into my local D&A store where I often buy glasses and loved some Gucci ones they'd just got in. With discounts they could give me and not the thin & light lenses I usually have they were still coming in over £300. I thought I'd look on internet, never considered buying online before and found I could buy these glasses with thin & light lenses and coatings for £145 through Just Good Specs. I ordered them on 7th July and they were delivered 14th July, one week!!! I was truly impressed and recommend this firm.

My son bought a pair of bendable glasses from www.glassesdirect.co.uk in feb 07. This weekend while singing their praises and demonstating them they broke on the bridge over the nose.I emailed glasses direct and asked for advice and recieved an email back to say they`ll replace them free of charge .Thats what i call good service.

  • My husband ordered glasses from site4eyes website when it had been mentioned in Martins weekly e-mail back at the start of May this year. After several phone calls (they have always called me back to tell me they are going to check with the lab) .... we have yet to receive the glasses! I just wondered if anyone else has had difficulty? Thanks.

I'd cancel the order as they say 28 days for delivery and they've WAY exceeded that! Insist on you money back and go elsewhere.

Do not tolerate customer service at this disgusting level. Ignoring customer requests and pleas for help is a big no-no. There's not excuse WHATSOEVER for it.

If you don't get an immediate refund, call your credit card company and explain to them what happened.

Just got my glasses from goggles4u.com today and they are well worth the price I paid.

You may not get the service for advise on selection and the service of fitting the pair to your frame like you would with a high street optician but then you dont need to pay about £50 - £100 for that service !

Just bought a pair from spex4less - price, quality and service absolutely outstanding. They came with a guarantee of a full refund or replacement if for any reason they were not satisfactory, even if I decided I didn't like the frame. I've saved £££'s over the high street quotes given prior to finding spex4less and they'll be getting all my business in future.

Of the many companies I have ordered specs from, Glassescrafter is the only supplier I would never deal with again.

Their address is in Oxford but the specs arrived direct from China over a month after ordering. You would find better frames in a poundshop and as for the lenses -- I don't know what presciption they came from but it was certainly not mine.

Have been using Zenni for my requirements who so far have been good for price and quality although my current order is 18 days with no show but will give them a little longer before ringing as three weeks is not unusual for spectacles.

    Hi,

Can I ask if you managed to get your money back, as they are ignoring my emails?

    Thanks,

    P.

Hi I was wondering if you got a refund from glassescrafter as they seem to be blanking my emails? How much did it cost to send them back to Shanghai?

    Many thanks,
    P
