Thanks Belinda - you've fully addressed my concerns

Something else I think you should consider is the general feedback of the company from whom you are intending to buy your glasses. Just because I had a great experience, doesn't mean they are all like that!

There's plenty of feedback - good and bad - on this site. But, think about casting your net wider, too, to get an even bigger picture. Also bear in mind that human nature makes people only report bad experiences of service and goods. Not so many people are as quick to report the good service they have received! (And I'm one of those people , I have to admit!!).

I'm probably stating the obvious, but I thought it was worth mentioning!

Good luck with your specs mission!

To be honest as long as i can see and i don't look stupid in them i donn't care as you can't really go wrong for £10.40 , especially my last pair cost £80 and that was a very long time ago!

I have ordered from them 4 times now, the first 3 went without any problems, but this last pair have been a nightmare. Basically, at the end of May I ordered some sunglasses - no problem. At the beginning of June, I ordered some normal glasses. These came last week but they were tinted.I mailed them straight away and they said according to the order, they were not tinted, could I send digital photos of them which I duly did. They then mailed the next day saying according to the order, I requested tinted and they copied the tint request from the sunglasses - I mailed them and said they were confusing the 2 orders and they should not have been tinted. They then mailed again saying I didn't order tints, could I mail pictures (again) which I did, yesterday I got a mail through saying if I choose another frame then they will replace them- I dont want to choose another frame - it took me almost 2 hrs to choose the frame I did, measuring the frame I have here against all of theres to see what would be the same etc. so I have mailed them again and said to either replace the glasses in the frame that I ordered, or to refund and I will look at another time when they have a different selection. Heard nothing from them so have mailed again asking it is sorted out today or I will have no choice but to open paypal dispute - if this had been my first order, i would never have used them again, it's just such a shame that I have had so many problems with this order.

Just wanted to say a quick thank you to the original poster and all those who contributed to this thread. Just got my glasses today and they are fantastic. I ordered them on Saturday evening and opted for DHL delivery and got them delivered today. Just 4 working days !! Didnt expect them to arrive till next week :j

The glasses are good quality - not exceptional - but definitely worth the money as the same pair would have cost atleast 100 -150 in the high street. I have a strong prescription so had to get the thinnest lens and had to pay £31 (including the £6 express delivery charge). Got about £3 tracking in Quidco as well. It came well packaged with a hard case case as well.

Thinking of ordering the 2nd pair now !

Julie - unhappy to learn that your 4th order gave so much of problems. Have you sorted it out now ?

Just bought a pair from spex4less, price, quality and service absolutely outstanding plus a guarantee to replace or refund in full for any reason.

I had high street prices quoted at several times the price I've paid.

My wife has had several pairs, one normal rimless reading glasses, one pair half rims tinted 50% as sunglasses and one pair as rimless photochromic.

These were ordered as two separate orders from Goggles4u and we have had no problems at all apart from the last order taking longer to arrive but with the postal strikes that is no surprise

The email communication has been OK and I would highly recommend them and next time I need glasses I would go to them without a second thought

I believe the quality is as good as a German made pair I bought from a high street optician for £300 and is definitely better than Specsavers in my opinion for a fraction, and I mean a fraction, of the cost

The first pair arrived with spares screws, spare nose pad thingys and a screwdriver for fitting them if necessary, absolutely brilliant

If your worried about ordering do not be they are good
Only time will tell if I am right or they are wrong

My wife has just received her glasses from goggles4u and she is very pleased. Look identical to designer ones that specsavers do ( osiris?) but cost a tenth of the price. Don't forget that you are entitled to a 15% discount on all repeat purchases - you need to email them with your previous order number and they will deduct 15%. First orders qualify for a 5% discount if you use one of the available offer codes.
