ashia well done on your batch cooking day! You're taking to all this frugalista living remarkably well!:T:T:T We'd love to see pics if you can figure it all out.;)

Thanks, I tend to go running headlong into everthing, but this actually feels like its gonna stick, shoulda seen me dancing round my tiny lil kitchen when the bagels came out and looked good! I'm basically a big kid, if I can suceed at something, I'll work harder at it (even more of an apt analogy when you take into account my hyper/addictive personality) and I love cooking. Be a while til I'm costing with such a degree of accuracy as you but I'd like to be able to figure out how much my foods worth.

I'm going to have a sit down and a play on my wii, hopefully a form of relaxation, easy mode here I come!

ashia, as a fairly compulsive personality myself, I tend to do everything 110%. When we're hooked on spending, this has its downsides, but once we have a lightbulb moment and discover Martin, there's no stopping us!

Avocet thanks for saying! It's strange, but I do like to know. It's something about how friendly I feel able to be. Like I think I'm always a little more restrained when chatting on here with blokes, and tend not to sign off with a kiss, call people hon, or use winky smilies!

:rotfl:It's as if I don't want to be an online flirt or sommat!

Anyhow, look, I shall wink at you now with abandon ;);););););););)

Ceridwen you've done lots of thinking about fuel prices too haven't you, can you help with this idea that Lesley's raised? I'm guessing your cooker is electic if you're doing away with gas after 01/09/08.:D

    Love Weezl x

Wow - looks fab! When I've finished this very boring diet (food replacement - shouldn't be looking at luscious food!) I'll def have a go at pig cheeks pie

Check this out, Twink is thinking of compiling a cookbook, between her hobnobs and your lentil pate it would be a best seller!

aisha - are you still running? I had a mad day frugalista day on monday... but I think I used up my energy for the week, so I'm enjoying hearing what other people are up to today. well done for resisting the lure of next - remember that all the stuff in the sales are things that no-one wanted to buy in the first place. (that's what I tell myself anyway!)

    who made all the pies!

Ok here's the lot, apart from another small one already devoured by AM...

Total cost of all you see here: £1.90, or 10.5p per generous serving :money::money::money::T

Really NOTHING is going to waste here. (Well his teeth and bones are in the bin...)

I'm so disappointed - I thought you could have made a necklace!

seriously though... the pies look lovely. I used to love pork pies but having eaten too many nasty cheap ones had put me off, yours actually look appetising.
