does anyone think that would be a good idea? what with the price of gas, electric, groceries and petrol going up people are going to be looking for quick, nourishing and cheap recipes, proceeds could go to charity

am not experienced in doing that sort of thing but its bound to be possible

Good idea twink. I did get a few from library/amazon while one or two are really good (Paupers cookbook) some are a bit 'greasy' (the BBC one). I'm sure we could do a good job? How about it Martin???

I would certainly buy it. I'm consistently impressed at how much can be made with how little spent on it, and would love to see a cookbook of recipes. It would be great!
  • i would buy it - and would be up for contributing ideas!!! :T
it's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:

I think its an excellent idea........not just for the recipes though It could include all sorts of ways of saving money, how to 'make do and mend', home made gifts (craft stuff and edibles), re-vamping cheap furniture..........oh the list could go on and on but there's surely an opening for this sort of thing.

Ooops,...........forgot to mention home grown food

I think its a great idea - know a few people who could use it too!

you could make it maw broon stylie - so its predominantly recipes but there are like little articles stuck in elsewhere on opposite pages about runnign a household etc.

I'd love one! As long as there's not loads of minced beef recipes, I think I've tried 'em all and bored rigid :)
