Hi
To anyone who is reading this post because they are thinking about buying a mattress from The Bed Shop in Liverpool please ignore all the crazy rubbish that Tim Deegan and Omen 666 have posted since I reported about the positive experience that I had with The Bed Shop. Please read my 1st post about The Bed Shop.
The 2 people mentioned above have made crazy and incorrect claims about me and all I did was to post a positive comment about the company in question and since then I have had nothing but hassle from their posts.
I am not in any way connected with The Bed Shop or for that matter any other bed company. I am just a person who needed a bed and found an excellent one from a company who provided me with EXCELLENT service. I live over 200 miles away from The Bed Shop and really cant fault the service that I got from them. If I was associated with them I would have said so by now.
If people arent allowed to post positive experiences in a forum without getting abuse there is something wrong!
Tim Deegan obviously works for or owns a bed company and is obviously looking out for himself and I didnt think that the aim of a forum was to trash other people for your own gain!
Anyway if anyone is really interested in buying from The Bed Shop they are most welcome to PM me if they want any more details because I dont want to post anymore on the subject as I am sick of Tim Deegan.0 -
I'm not going to argue with someone who is trying to revive The Bed Shop's reputation, following all the negative posts in this thread. To be honest it looks like it's too late anyway as Glacier Furniture Limited are in liquidation.

It seems that the company is being split up to avoid liquidation of the whole company. On their web site it says that it is part of Hudson Furniture Ltd, who aren't in liquidation. So it appears that Glacier Furniture may have been set up just to act as a parent company while it went into liquidation. Can anyone who is an expert in business law tell us if this is legal?0 -
Tim Deegan I wonder why you are so interested in putting down bed companies? Oh yes could it be because you are involved in one and are using this forum to put people off your competitors?
Not exactly the spirit of a forum is it.0 -

I thought you weren't goint to reply any more???
This is nothing to do with a company being a competitor, as I'm not on here to advertise or sell. I am here to give impartial and honest advice. So like anyone else I would always advise against using a company with such poor customer service. Especially one that is in liquidation.
In defence of the bed shop, I'm sure they never intended to give poor service, but when you are in financial difficulties then you tend to find that suppliers won't supply you, and then you start to let customers down. Then things can become a downhill spiral as they have to make more and more excuses to customers.0 -
Tim & Omen
I would let this go but I think you two are the ones who are up to no good on this board and I dont want other people to be put off by your slurs and insults.
I will repeat. I AM NOT AND NEVER HAVE BEEN IN ANY WAY ASSOCIATED WITH THIS OR ANY OTHER BED COMPANY.Hi

Not upto no good at all and your claims as such cannot be substantiated. If anything I have helped people on here as much as I have been helped. I have also not made any slurs or insults to you. I merely stated I could easily find the listed mattress for under the bedshop price. I also stated that Tim has a repuation on here from what I have known since being on the boards and you do yourself no fabours in saying cheaper cannot be found on google when clearly you can using the most simplest of search terms
Again I cannot see any crazy or incorreect claims I have made about you?
If you see posts 94 and 96 you will see why they are making desperate attempts to repair their reputation.0 -
Guys we've told everyone time and time again. If you feel someone is a company pretending to be a satisfied customer (something which is illegal) please report it as usual to abuse@ without starting arguments on here or getting involved, it just causes us more work.
At this point in time we have no evidence to suggest elvina works for the company in question.Could you do with a Money Makeover?

I was just about to place an order with this company and with my mattress in the basket decided to search the internet for a discount code. The search led me to this thread and after some thought I have decided to order elsewhere.
I always try to take into account the fact the internet is full of people complaining, much more so than praising. And there could be significantly more happy customers than aggrieved ones. So I did consider continuing with the order. I always use my credit card, so took into account the protection that would provide me. However, I just couldn't shake the feeling that it might be a mistake.
In the end I found the mattress £10 cheaper elsewhere. So fingers crossed they're no trouble.
I just thought I'd add to this thread in the hope the bed-shop are still reading it. Let this be a warning to them and others: If you treat your customers badly the word will get out and you will lose business as a result.0 -
I too was just about to place an order for a sofa bed (and yes I know i'm reviving an old thread) from The-Bed-Shop and whilst I was also looking for a discount code came across this thread. The sofa bed is £25 cheaper from The-Bed-Shop (quite annoying to keep typing that!) but after reading the reviews on here I decided to 'research' the next cheapest copmpany. Guess what, there were bad reviews for them as well (admittedly none on here) but there were some on 'ReviewCentre'. It strikes me that people are only really inclined to make a comment on something when it goes wrong. Yes, there are 5 pages on this thread but the majority of it it taken up with a couple of people having a go at each other. In the few years that this thread has been open there are not a massive amount of complaints. So, I'm going to order from The-Bed-Shop and I will update how it goes.Started the new centuary £18,000 in debt : July 2008 we're now DEBT FREE (apart from the mortgage!) :j

UPDATE: Ok, so the sofa bed was delivered on Tuesday afternoon and I have 2 points to make. The bad point first - the website said it would arrive fully assembed... it didn't, although there wasn't too much to do to fit arms and the feet. The good point - it stated on the website that the courier they used would only have one man... sorry, person, who would only deliver it to the front door, but they actually turned up with 2 guys and brought into the required room. So my experience certainly isn't a bad one... not they best due to having to do a little d.i.y., but they did turn up on the day they were supposed to and with the right item. In addition I got regular emails updating me on the status prior to delivery. I can't comment on any other aspect of their customer service since I didn't have to contact them. Hope my little input helps anyone else contemplating a purchaseStarted the new centuary £18,000 in debt : July 2008 we're now DEBT FREE (apart from the mortgage!) :j
