Tim Deegan - As I have already said, if you can find the exact mattress cheaper somewhere else as you say you can please provide me with the name of a company because I for sure cant and I want to buy another one. If you are going to make claims to put people down at least be prepared to back them up.

I have NO CONNECTIONS with either The Bed Shop or Paypal in any way other than a customer. My review of The Bed Shop was totally unbiased and I 100% stand by it. I will repeat - the purchase that I made from them was Excellent.

I buy a lot of things on line and if I was to compare them with the likes of Amazon, Sainsburys, Tesco, Play etc I would rate them as 10 out of 10. I know that may sound biased but believe me it isnt. I am quite happy to comment if someone does a bad job but if they do a good one I think they should be praised.

Whether its beds or any online retailer - transparency is now paramount, therefore customer service becomes paramount.

Im not saying service has been good or bad - just that things are sooo transparent now.

Just do a search on google, and you should find the same that I did......that all of the links I opened were to sellers who were cheaper. It's a low quality mattress, so the bed shop aren't that cheap.

Tim Deegan - As you cant come up with the name of any suppliers of this mattress that are cheaper than the bed shop and a very extensive search of Google doesnt show any I assume that you are obviously just a troll out to cause trouble! If you arent and really do know of someone cheaper for this mattress I suggest that you "put up or shut up".

Oh and by the way its not a "low quality mattress" as you put it so try getting your facts straight!

You are just proving that you are connected with the company, as anyone searching on google would very easily be able to find the same product cheaper. In fact when I did the search the bed shop were the most expensive I found.

And yes it is an low quality entry level mattress. Or are you an expert on the subject?

I would let this go but I think you two are the ones who are up to no good on this board and I dont want other people to be put off by your slurs and insults.

I will repeat. I AM NOT AND NEVER HAVE BEEN IN ANY WAY ASSOCIATED WITH THIS OR ANY OTHER BED COMPANY.

I do however have a bad back and know a good bed when I see and feel it. The mattress that I have is 9 inches thick, far thicker than most on the market. Its pocket sprung and according to the John Lewis bed buying guide:-

    "Pocket spring mattress
    • More luxurious, with individual small springs housed in separate fabric pockets.
    • Springs work independently to respond to individual body weight."
It has also got a thick layer of natural fibres on the top of the springs for extra comfort.

As for the £99 price that you are both quoting, its funny that neither of you could state a supplier at this price and this is because you have got it WRONG. The £99 price you quote is for the 2ft 6in single, no good if you need a double bed!!!!!

Also there is a foam version of this mattress which you can find cheaper on the internet but ours isnt foam and I dont want foam.

Really both of you now would be the time to state exactly where I can get this mattress in the sprung variation in a double for anything less than The Bed Shop price, if you cant dont bother replying. Your unwillingness up to this point to name a supplier just goes to show that you dont know what you are talking about and are just out to cause trouble.

Its all well and good saying that I work for The Bed Shop - which yet again I will clearly say that I dont, but having just checked out your old posts its obvious that you do! If this is the case one would assume that you are trying to put people off products from other companies so that they come to your company to order their beds etc!

You have made it obvious that you are connected with them. I mean who in the right mind would buy from someone with such bad reviews, and expensive prices?

Actually most quality pocket sprung mattresses on the market are 10" deep. So assuming that it doesn't contain the less supportive and smaller reflex foam encapsulated pocket springs, then it obviously has less quilting than most quality pocket sprung mattresses.

You have just described a generic description for almost all pocket sprung mattresses (the sort of description that Dreams give). However it's all the other layers of quilting that most consumers don't know about that makes the difference between a quality mattress and a low quality one.

The bed shop are actually more expensive than most other sellers, so the fact that the price is usually just over £100 means that it is a bottom of the range, entry level pocket sprung mattress. In fact they couldn't manufacture a good quality one for that price and still make a profit.

Really? Well if you can't find the sites with the cheaper prices, then how do you know that it is for a single?

Who said anything about foam? We are talking about a pocket sprung mattress. So there would be no such thing as a foam version of a pocket sprung mattress.

Well if you say that the £99 price is for a single, then you have already found the cheaper prices.

I am quite open about what I do (unlike you). But the difference between me and you is that I am here to give honest advice, and not sell. But you are here to sell whilst pretending to be a satisfied customer.

The fact remains that even if the bed shop had been the cheapest that you found, then it would only have been by a few pounds. So who in the right mind would use a company with such bad reviews just for the sake of a few pounds? Especially as it was you who advised people not to use another company who had bad reviews.
