i don't have a tumbler drier, just dry stuff on the airer. i've about 1 thing that really needs ironing and so i run the iron over it on the bed but otherwise i wear relatively fitted tshirts and combats for work and home life so don't bother...i've used the iron once since i moved here in early feb and then i thought i'd forgotten to turn it off so had to text FiL and ask him to pop in and check!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Welcome all the newbies!!!! So many this week
Scared1980 good luck to your DDawww bless her
AnW'sMum, nice to see you pop in.
greenmango you lucky devil!
Kaz, it doesn't matter how much of the lists you do, you should know this by now, it's being part of the support and friendship that's come from this thread that matters!
fiddling flower petals, I think your one of a limited number who iron bed linenI will be this week but that'll be the first time in 9 years............and I'll have to find the iron first :rotfl: DPs work shirts are usually fine if I tumble or line dry them then straight on the hangers (Asda specials!)
Thank you all for the advice, I think I might pop to the GPs tomorrow anyway as if it's on prescription for them it's free, our GPs have been good so far and never usually short of appointments. If they refuse I can always buy it. They're staying off tomorrow anyway now as DS2s got an appointment and DS1s been screaming again with his sore throat, must remember to get more nurofen from the pharmacy aswell as I'm just about out. Vermox sounds like a good idea if it kills things, but of course there is his resistance to new foods/drinks too but he's usually pretty good with tablets, argh, DS1s going to just about flip when I tell him anyway. I think I need to tell him as it might get him to be less resistant to getting his nails cut, I'm always saying he needs to for that sort of reason but I don't think he believes me. As for DP he already knows he will possibly have them (checked both of us so far ok but they could be 'developing' why do you think he's reacted that way :rotfl: he can't handle anything icky, definately not impressed)
Washers on with the spare duvet (which DS1 was sat on most of the day nekid!) and when that's finished will put my bed linen in. My main hope is we have only a few weeks before the hols, that I will treat them once then the second time and they will have the hols for the rest of the children to HOPEFULLY be treated.
Tomorrows to do list (now much bigger due to icky things)
[STRIKE] Bath/shower everyone [/STRIKE]
Doctors/pharmacy for stuff (treatment, antibac wipes, nurofen, 2 nail brushes for them to take to school)
[STRIKE] DS2 apppointment [/STRIKE]
Call about DS2s missed appointmentmy fault
[STRIKE] Strip all beds & wash everything! Bin Ds2s waterproof sheet, another he's managed to shred
Try to get everything dry (I think my electric usage this week will be sky high!)
CUT DSs NAILS! [/STRIKE]
Remake DSs beds with spare linen (incase not everythings dry)
Kitchen - not too bad but needs some work
[STRIKE] Clean bathroom [/STRIKE] several times
Vacuum downstairs
Vacuum upstairs
Studying - wherever and whenever I can fit it in
[STRIKE] Make sure laundry is put away asap so that pile thing doesn't happen again
Somehow lecture DSs about keeping clean without creating demons like when DS1 got paranoid last time about germs and washed his hands so much they were constantly covered in blisters - mission impossible?
Email McLaren F1 team :rotfl: long story[/STRIKE]One day I might be more organised...........

Hey Guys,
I can't believe that we're on page 5 already and it's twenty minutes before the thread is due to officially begin!
I've had a very quiet weekend really, enjoyed the footie tonight and also spent a few hours over weekend keeping on top of chores so a new weeks flying can get off to a...well....flying start!
I had two big disappointments today
1) Forgot to turn heat down on a simmering lentil and bacon soup...resulting in clouds of black smoke filling the house and a burnt dinner
2) Results of my ebay labours finished this evening, 7 items closing only 3 sold making a grand total of £3.97. I spent ages doing great ads and chose appropriate times, but it was a dismal response that didn't even match up to my skeptical expectations. My wedding shoes went for 99p. I gambled on setting a low bidding and no reserve to start a price war that just never happened. Completely Gutted
However, you live you learn and sometimes the only way to deal with that 'why did I bother getting out of bed today?' feeling is to just have a good old giggle. Me and hubbie have been salvaging the day from the clutches of disappointment by baking a yummy cake and drinking a bottle of red wine. We have watched footie and eaten our weight in weetabix loaf and are both feeling better.
Anyhoo, I haven't even looked at mondays list, I won't be doing any flying in the morning as the weather forcast is good so me and hubbie off on a food foraging trip. We are both enthusiastic novices and armed with many field guides and piccies from internet will try not to poison selves....although if todays luck continues :rotfl:
In the afternoon I will have a look at the list and try to catch up with everybody's news....probably on page 20 by then!
Hope you have all had lovely weekends. Hugs and solidarity to those who need em, and :T to those of you who've had fun, productive weekends.
See y'all tomorrow,

Good evening all
Firstly a big welcome to all newbies :hello: - everyone is really nice here and you will find you spend loads of time on here!
We've had a really busy day here. DH has been at the living room and i've been at the bedroom. Got loads done. DH took 6 bags of rubbish to camp this morning and put it in one of the massive bins that they have there.
I have filled another 4 bags just from our bedroom  and will probably fill at least another 2 or 3 before tomorrow is out. Got to get 7 ebay parcels off to the post office. Thanks to ebay mucking up the postage costs I'm probably not gonna make much. Bloody ebay - that is the last time I offer special postage rates for the armed forces, they used that as my international rate:mad: . Oh well never mind, at least I've got rid of 7 parcels worth of [strike]junk[/strike] oops worthwhile clutter:rotfl:

but before I go a question to those with older ones and a crawling baby
What do you do to stop the baby getting hold of inappropriate pointy or chokable small toys of the bigger ones ?
We have a playroom downstairs, I have pretty much removed the older ones stuff up to their bedrooms so the playroom only has toys that are safe for LO. Either proper baby toys or things like Fisher Price Little People stuff , mega blocks etc that she cant get in her mouth or headbutt onto a sharp corner. This is ok except the older two (5 and 3) just play with the baby's stuff so the room is just a sea of shape sorter bits, wooden puzzle etc etc, and they have all but stopped playing with their own tos as they like to stay downstairs with me rather than go upstairs on their own. And it feels like such a waste since they have so many toys of their own inckluding a load of new ones that DS got for his birthday (loads of lego, knew, meccano lots and lots of bits aarrggh).
Anyone got any tips or advice ? I have so much cooking and laundry type stuff to do and I also work 3 days so I dont have a lot of time to sit playing and supervising and I need to be able to go in and out of the room without worrying that she is about to choke or injure herself. She doesn't sit to play she rolls around and can get to anything now aarrghh
Never had this problem before, first 2 were 18 months apart so when my second got to 6 months and rolling the older one was only just 2 and didnt really have muchin the way of small bits to toys anyway.
Right really off to bed now
