Bulk LPG - Cheapest suppliers / supply route?

Has anyone been notified of an operation increase or surcharge from their supplier yet? Just gone online to place an order to be greeted by a 'pop up' telling me any order placed at this time is subject to a zero-margin surcharge. I've got just over 45% of gas in my tank and I think if i'm really frugal it'll see me through until early autumn. Honestly don't know whether to top up now or wait but who knows where we'll be come the autumn.

Which supplier?
What does your contract say? Is it fixed?
If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..0 -
Just looking at my contract now and it does state the company has the right to add a temporary surcharge. I agreed a new fix deal in October with Extra Gas.

Just gone online to order and it’s adding 11p p/l to my fixed price (45p) I know it’s nowhere near the increase in oil prices but still. I thought you were safe on a fix. I’ve not confirmed the order yet but I’m thinking it might be better to, as who knows by the end of summer where it all could end up.

My current contract and ergo tank rental is with Flogas.
They have just written to me saying -
“Our engineer has identified that your current LPG regulator setup requires a replacement or upgrade. A regulator that is not functioning correctly can lead to a loss of supply to your property or an unsafe condition. Please see the quotation below”
Quoting £400 for parts and labour.
I’m presuming despite the fact I am renting the tank from them, they consider all the regulators and other parts to,be my responsibility, not theirs?
Have others come across this please?0 -
They are correct, unfortunately (ask me how I know 🤷). Their maintenance manual on the FloGas website says everything downstream of the isolation valve is the customer’s responsibility.

I've not had the issue (yet) but I have been told before that the regulator, and basically everything from the tank to the boiler, is my responsibility. I'm also with Flogas, but would expect this to be the same for all rented tanks.
I did price a regulator about a year ago, and seem to remember ca. £125 - 150, just for the regulator model I have, so using a Gas Safe registered plumber to change it could be a little cheaper than the £400 Flogas quoted (?).
If it's your responsibility, then I'd expect you to have the choice of who replaces / installs a new one (anyone know for sure ?)… I doubt Flogas would be the cheapest option !1
