I'm very rural Welsh borders - they're the only suppliers for here according to LPGA.

We decided to risk the variable yr2 with Avanti.

Flo have come back with a retention offer…
    44p/12mo fix or 47p/24mo.

51p +?? versus 47p fixed for 24m? The latter is a no brainer. Not too late to change, unless you signed something.

So far as finding a supplier is concerned, LPGA is unreliable. Try and advanced google search for something like "Domestic lpg supply + welsh borders" or the name of your county/region

Agreed with the above, there are a number of suppliers who are not listed on LGUK . I think, but i could be wrong, it's only suppliers who are paid members that are listed. Try a couple of the comparison websites too as they sometimes let you know of any independents - well apart from LPGSave. I've only ever had a flogas quote from them.

Google independent LPG supplier and your area I think there is one covering the welsh borders LPGas wales direct.

Still providing an excellent service. No more than 1 week from order to delivery. Held costs for the 2nd year.

    Specifically Flogas...

Are these prices being effected in a similar way to heating oil?

Are they still fulfilling their orders?

How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 3.24% of current retirement "pot" (as at end December 2025)

Not heard of any problems so far … I suspect there may be more of a lag in the LPG supply chain, compared to oil.

Had an email from our supplier on Friday saying that there were no supply constraints with LPG. No mention of any price issues but I'd expect some movement if the oil price has increased.

Heating oil is basically kerosene, as is aviation fuel. Apparently it is the rising cost of the basic kerosene which is causing the price increases.

I've got an order in with flogas at the minute. The last 2 orders they delivered the next day (!) But this one's scheduled for 2 weeks after order (still reasonable - assuming it gets here).

Contract is up for renewal in April though. Currently on 48ppl fixed for 2 years. They've quoted 53ppl fixed for 6 months, then up to 20ppl increase in each 12 month period, so they're giving themselves options 😬 year 2 increases have always been capped around 5ppl before for us.

LPG save to the rescue - they've offered (also with Flogas):

    1. 48ppl fixed for 12 months, no cap in year 2
    2. 50ppl fixed for 12 months, 5ppl cap on increase in year 2
    3. 52ppl fixed for 24 months

What option will you take, I wonder.. based on my view of Trump I might take the 2 year fix for peace of mind. The US is a big exporter of LNG, and is enjoying the closure of Hormuz straits.

Flogas system works on a 2 week notice period so they can plan their tanker rounds most efficiently .. my order last month was filled in about a week.

2 year fix I think - more certainty as you say, and works out slightly cheaper over the 2 years than option 2, assuming they will go for the max increase in year 2 (which they always have before). We could try to time deliveries to get slightly more out of a cheaper year 1 I suppose, but the timing doesn't always work out for that anyway.
