Bulk LPG - Cheapest suppliers / supply route?

I suspect that has happened already. Anybody out of contract is in for a difficult time.Rhino666 said:...
Strangely the price increase does not happen until 1/4/22 and the surcharge on 16/3/22. I am in a queue on the phone now to speak to them, currently 8th in queue and 1 hour 10 min hold so far. Somehow hoping to get an order in before the brown stuff hits the fan
If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..0 -
Blimey Flogas quoting 87ppl from 1st April or fixed at 79.67ppl + £50 surcharge per delivery (variable) - so out for quote again. previous experinace was with Countrywide - who left us with no LPG over Xmas 2019 - my fault for not paying attention at the time. anybody got any good experience with suppliers - I'm in Oxfordshire.

Not so it would seem. After more than 1 hour 40 mins on hold I secured a topup delivery of LPG at 37p and assume, no surcharge as ordered before the 16th March. I have also verbally agreed a new 2 year contract where the price of LPG fixed at 55p for 6 months with variable surcharge. I won't be in a position to order but the contract limits the amount the price can rise after that.JerryW said:

The point of this is to impress on Flogas customers that they need to act very quickly to top their tanks up and avoid the impending price increase and surcharge.
The guy I spoke to talked about a distinct possibility of LPG getting towards £1 a litre. I don't usually take notice of this sort of comment but in this case think it may be a reasonable suggestion.PLEASE DO NOT STEAL

Crikey - I decided not to fix with Avanti the other day at 47ppl - now looking like that might have been a stupid decision 🙄0

My 2 year contract with AvantiGas is up and I went through LPG Save to switch to FloGas at 38ppl for 2 years fixed. I’ve just received an e-mail today from LPG Save saying FloGas have voided the switch due to uncertainty in the market and the best they can offer now is 55ppl fixed for 6 months!!0

Just rang Avanti back. Two year contract with 12 month fix (and variable second year, although with a 3p cap on their operational costs) is now 49ppl.Cheery_Daff said:Crikey - I decided not to fix with Avanti the other day at 47ppl - now looking like that might have been a stupid decision 🙄
However, they also offered me a 2 year fix, which I've not been offered before, at 50ppl, so I've gone with that. Over our annual consumption it works out roughly £17 a month more than we've been paying recently, which given the current climate, I'm willing to take for a bit of certainty.
Just need to focus on reducing consumption now.

Just for comparison -- I'm an out of contract customer with Avanti and have received a letter today increasing my price by 10ppl to 52ppl (+vat). I have been pondering whether to try and get a new fixed contract, but it's difficult to know what's best at the moment.1

Interesting - I had a letter yesterday saying Avanti were increasing us 8.1ppl (which from our previous rate would take us to 52ppl). I hope that was just a standard letter and that they will, in fact, be honouring the 50ppl fix we all signed!123Ed said:Just for comparison -- I'm an out of contract customer with Avanti and have received a letter today increasing my price by 10ppl to 52ppl (+vat). I got a fixed contract with Flogas about 2 months ago & got 1200lt top up about a week ago at 40p a litre. So they stuck with the agreed price. "For now"1

My contract with Flogas runs out in early May. At the end of February I negotiated a new three year contract with a (not particularly good) price of 51.02ppl fixed for two years. I signed it on the 25th February and Flogas signed on March 1st. They are now saying they will not honour this contract and are offering me 60.03ppl fixed for just 6 months on a one year contract. Can they just wriggle out of a signed contract like this?1
