A whopping (NOT) 2.95ppl of the 67.95ppl that I have currently been paying (that's what happens when you end up out of contract and take your eye off the ball!!! Ouch.). Any suggestions on a better deal and what 's the going rate at the moment. My above ground tank doesn't meet current regulation location requirements too so will a new supplier take it on?
With regards to the tank issue, a few years ago I was with Calor (had been for a number of years). When I wanted to shop around, I was told by other suppliers that my tank was non-compliant. I negotiated with Calor to move and replace the tank if I signed up for a new 2 year contract. This was supposed to have a 3ppl cap on the second year increase. Needless to say, they broke this agreement so I cancelled the contract and moved to a new supplier, complete with my nice new compliant tank!

I was with Calor and use under 1000lit a year, contract was up by January and their prices jumped up into the high 40p + range (Staffordshire area)
Called them a few times to tell them I would prefer to stay with them if they could reduce the price but no joy.
Gave Carvers (Wolverhampton) a call and they popped in to inspect the tank & offered me 36ppl then and there so filled out the paperwork to change over, week later Calor called and then offered to price match etc (sorry to late)2 -
JerryW said:Just wondering, what with all the recent problems, whether everyone is still getting their LPG deliveries OK? I have put in an order with Avanti this morning, usually they are pretty good, but we shall see ..So, gas delivered this morning. One week, not too bad.I have a low opinion of the major lpg providers but I have to say, Apart from trying to hike the price after the 12 month fix, Avanti have actually been pretty good.
If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..0 -
I see oil prices have dropped recently to almost 24ppl, so I was wondering if bulk lpg has followed a similar path.I am out of contract and use around 2500 litres of lpg a year. Has anyone had any recent quotes? I’ll need to sort something out before the autumn.0

Our bulk lpg contract with Calor has ended and I have just had a quote from them for a two year contract for either 37p litre (variable) or 39p litre fixed for first year. Which one, if any, should I take and why? Anyone had cheaper quotes? (East Midland, underground tank)1

That’s interesting Mister G. I am Hampshire too, currently with Flogas, but will change soon. My local supplier is HBS, is that who you are with by any chance?0
