Morning All.....
Going O/T slightly, but I do feel sorry for the Police...if--& hopefully when--they catch the little toe-cheese that do these hideous crimes, there's always some soft judge or bleeding heart who gets them off without a slapped wrist:mad: I can't imagine how you've felt over this MooLoo, but I Wish You Well for all of that:o
Nicki, you reminded me about a scheme our buses do around here, where you can buy a ticket that will take you anywhere within a certain area. IIRC you can get daily, weekly & four-weekly...say for instance you live in Manchester  you could travel into town for the bank then home; use the same ticket to go to the shopping centre & back; same ticket for the swim baths & home; same ticket for the cinema & home....all for the price of the first ticket.....might help over the school hols folks?
Angelnikki....forgive me cuz I'm an absolute clutz at poota stuff, but would it be possible to do a link to the July page & have the rest of the space for August recipes? Just my tuppence
Had another two NSD having dug out some pork belly rashers to do a roast with yesterday, but I'll have to get more frozen veg very soon. My attempt at self sufficiency hasn't been as prolific as most of yooze lot:sad: but I'm determined to do better next yearI saw a thing about a square foot garden somewhere--actually meant to give a heads up to MrsMc so that's summat else to put on my list of 'must do':o

I think thats a good idea actually :T , I am a bit worried cos the list is gonna be huge if we keep adding to it. Does everyone like this idea of a link to July's list at the top of the August Recipe Index or would you prefer one massive list? Not sure what to do now
Edit:  If I do a seperate list each month then by sept/oct when people are looking for recipes they wont know which list to look in so maybe one list would be easier after all?Yeah - I think I'll stick to that and just copy it all over. lol I used to be indecisive but now I'm just not sure :rotfl:

Hi,
I'm back from sunny hols in Portugal and haven't even attempted to look at the other posts yet - there's sooooo many!
Just thought I'd do an update on the grocery spends over the weekend - another £6.45 in mr T's and £1.69 in the local shop.
Will update the sig in a minute.
Have just sorted out all of the banking etc and I'm very very poor this month! A result of holidays and birthday pressies etc and a bit of over eager spending before the holiday (I think I was in the mood a bit early!)
As a consequence, things are tight until I get paid in 3 weeks time - and going to try to minimise all spends until I'm richer - I have enough food to last this week and next and a full tank of petrol. I have to go to Newcastle this weekend to visit a friend and that will involve a meal and drinks but other than that I plan to be a hermit until payday! Out of necessity not choice - its the first time in ages that I've really been very skint so I'll learn my lesson again and get back on the wagon - had a nice holiday though!
Hope everyone else is OK - will catch up on the million posts over the next few days.
Take care
