Mooloo - sorry to hear about the burglary. Phone up the card companies and explain. Hopefully they will be able to transfer the balance to a new card.

Hi Mooloo, we were burgled this time last year. I 'only' had tesco points, but they were great when I rang, transferred all onto new card. Appeared practically immediately online, days before new card arrived.:T
That's about the only thing that was sorted out quickly and easily though.
Hope you soon get yours sorted, sending you lots of hugs ((((((()))))))

I have the opticians today. My NHS card is in the purse that was stolen.... !!!!!!. Will they accept that I am on benefits or will they charge me for my eye test now???

Do you have any of the paperwork that came with it? Or even the main tax credits notice? Then they can see that you are entitled to it.

I think I'm gonna copy the recipe index over to the new thread and just keep adding to it each month. That way they wont all get lost forever. :D
Does everyone agree with this or should we start a new recipe list each month?

    Hi Nikki,
I personally would like to see all the recipes carried over to the next month.
    Thanks ;)

just taking time out to grab a coffee and calm down  the bl**dy fridge repair man came out at 10.30 this morning, and left at 11.20.......and the flamin fridge/freezer is STILL broken  cos it's frost free, its nigh on impossible to get anyone to fix it....he knows what's wrong with it (the fridge sensor has gone) but he doesn't know where it is in the fridge to replace it. tried phoning the company that made f/f but they said they weren't allowed to tell me how to repair it  aarrrggghh!! just had to let off steam......sorry for being off topic!

anyway, on a GC note, i've managed an NSD today :T had HM soup and rolls for lunch, and the fact that i can get the washing dry cos it's sunny has put me in a better mood :D think i'm gonna sit down with my x stitch for an hour now before i have to take Dylan to the vets to have his stitches out xx

    Afternoon all :D

Well my 3rd NSD in a row :T

Hubby tootled off to work with a flask of HM chicken n sweetcorn soup from the freezer and some HM bread..good job too as its bloomin cold here at the moment  . I took a portion of what i thought was HM cream of broccoli soup out of the freezer for me for lunch today..but it turned out to be cream of chicken and split pea -which was lovely and warming and "stick to your ribs stuff" -with a slice of HM super seedy bread it was really tasty and filling -and the best bit of all -im slowly making a wee bit of space in the freezers :j

Dinner tonight was going to be jacket potato with cottage cheese and salad -one of our faves.... but i have decided to do a pasta dish instead -so i can use up some of the lovely fresh veggies in the fridge from the garden -particularly some of the big courgette and asparagus peas;) ..thinking, courgette, asparagus peas, mushrooms, onions, peppers peas and sweetcorn (and some chorizo in hubbies) -then a good dollop of cream cheese n herbs and stir in cooked pasta...nomnomnom

I have nearly finished my meal plan for August :T ... hubby is due to be paid again on Friday -but fingers crossed most of it is going straight into the bank :D I have just checked my purse and i have €60 left so pinkies crossed that will get me off to a good start next month...im determined to use as much as i can from the freezers...

I just want to get some money behind us again.. I think the mad dash back to the UK was a bit of a wake up call for me... luckily because it was a "compassionate flight" the army provided us with a car from home -to the airport -a car from the airport to my mums.. and he same on the way back for FREE and obviously hubby is paid anyway so we didn't lose 3 weeks wages... apparently even if they had to give us a private plane they would have  .. but it makes you think "what would we have done otherwise?" -so i need you lovely lot to keep an eye on me and my spending ;)

mooloo -so sorry for what has happened to you...I hope their thieving fingers drop off

KAAT_LADY thanks for the link -i will go and have a nosey :D its typical -i used to have loads of x stitch mags -but gave them away as i never did small ones..and now i want small charts i haven't got any :rotfl: so i have been looking at some of the free ones on line -but think i might end up getting a magazine -well if i can get one from the NAFFI out here

Right i had better get off and finish that meal plan;) have a great afternoon all :D

I'm not doing very well at this grocery challenge thing:mad: .
I just can't resist a bargain, and I suppose I can blame hubby a bit as he came shopping with us the other day and put cakes and sweets that we didn't need into trolley(who am I to stop him, he pays for shopping), but it did take us way over budget this week.

    Hello there,

Have done a small shop today with a discount voucher of 7 euros and a bogof butchers voucher too.

    Spent 34 euros of 2kg best sausages,chicken,salami,chorizo,olive oil,fruit,mayo,parma ham,cashews,sunflower seeds,1kg king prawns,pork steaks.

Came home cooked sausage baguettes for kids with melon and apple chunks.

Made parma ham chicken rolls filled with garlic and pesto that I am going to slice and freeze once cooled to lay over pasta pesto, deveined and prepped the king prawns, cooked some chicken off for chicken soup.Put rest of meat in freezer.

Kids are having pasta ,pesto and left over meatballs with veggies for tea and jackets with cheese and tuna tomorrow.

Will do the rest of my shopping for the week tomorrow at Aldi and Lidl need eggs, mascarpone, tuna, sugar, croissants, parmasan, corn, beans, yoghurts and salad stuff on Thursday morning.

Cleaning, baking and hair colour Wednesday ready for OH and a mad sort out on Thursday before the airport run.

Have Twinks and Chocolate muffins on the list - lemon drizzle, marmalade muffins and twinks in freezer.

Hello, I was lucky, they didnt check, just got me to sign the form. Unfortunately my eyes have changed and I now need bi-focals, so I chose a pair of frames that were from the nearly cheapest range. So I will have to find £15 but not until next Monday.
Was supposed to be going to Tesco this afternoon with the twins but they have gone into town, (mum not invited as its my Birthday tomorrow). so Tesco will have to wait, as I cant carry the shopping. Or push the trolley actually. Thats why I used to get it delivered from Mr T.
Re the clubcard I suppose I better sort my paperwork out and then I could ask for the information to be transfered etc.
Think I need to be making lists of the things that I have lost and work my way through replacing them. Just so long and redious.
Still havent done that menu plan anyway, so better do that first or will be spending even more that I havent got. (Actually thats impossible as if i dont have it cant spend it!!. No cards.)
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.
