Stacks of rain here too. fireworks displays cancelled and our patio still not grouted and sealed...boo.
Lucielle- hope your mum is OK and the care package is adequate-good
Hello Lucielle, hope your mum is ok.
Brizzledfw, the Harcombe diet is different to the 2 day fasting. Harcombe is don't mix fats with carbs, eg if you have meat, don't have a jacket potato/pasta and vice versa.

Finally broke through the stone barrier, onwards and downwards.
Also completed the stocktake and finished typing that up last night. I emailed it over to the accountant and she's coming tonight. OH has a repair/service job at a golf club today, that should help with cash flow.
Finally the chap came out to look at the bathroom and talk 'wet wall'. Unfortunately its not going to work, just going to be too expensive. He's recommended a tile place where he can get some discount. On Saturday we'll go and have a look, drop off the clothes that DD1 has been given to the weigh in place, some more dosh for Thailand. We are going to get the panels for the ceiling and that should hide the damp. I'm a bit worried about tiling the whole thing as our house is cold and I imagine having tiles up will make it feel even colder.
DS1s car had to go in for her MOT, she needed a bit of work doing but passed. Need to tax Morris for OH, probably do that at the weekend.
Still slobbing in bed at the moment. Got the chaps to strip their beds so will have the washing machine going like a thing posessed.
Spoke to my stepdad last night who sounded very down. Looks like mum will be coming home next week after the house has been assessed. She was really horrible to him, saying very nasty things in front of hospital staff and social workers, so I can't really blame him for being down.

Went to see Michael McIntyre last night. It was very good. Need to have a look and see if there's anything else we fancy for next year. 4 weeks tomorrow until my b'day, trepidation is setting in.
Took the boys to get their haircut today and try and pay some money into the building society, they were 5 mins late and the woman was sat at the counter and wouldn't let them in.
Managed to get DD1s clothes weighed in, she got £35. Didn't manage to get any tiles as the shop was shut. Called in at a local farm shop to price up turkeys for DS2.
Hoping OH will sweep the chimney tomorrow. I hate him doing it but as the saying goes needs must.
Another phone call off SD, mother has decided to discharge herself. I spoke to her but as I didn't agree with what she's done, she didn't want to speak to me.
