Managed to get OHs Christmas presents this week. Took DS2 and DD2 to their respective orthodontists everything is going fine just a pain having 2 different ones.

DS1 came home with some sausages and a lump of pork, the farm where he's working had killed a pig. They've also got some beef hanging fingers crossed we get a lump of that!

I went to a fund raising for the Young Farmers, a pampered chef night. Its even more expensive than Lakeland! I have purchased a zester as the one I use is useless. I have also got some lemons to make Limoncello so will be able to try it out on that.

I've felt really low this week and especially at the fund raiser the other night. I knew a few people there, ended up sitting on my own and felt like a real billy no mates. I do feel quite shy in gatherings like this and I wonder if I come across as aloof or something like that? I'm ashamed to say I came home and cried as I felt so awful. Silly really, especially when you take into account everything else happening in the world.....

Came home from work and got hoovered up. OH mopped the floors and I dusted the living room. Still no sign of the decorator or the chap to measure the bathroom for tiles. I know its all going to happen at once.

Had a meeting with the accountant and between us we decided to shut the shop on a Thursday. This leaves OH to go and tout for trade and service the golf clubs that he has to do. It is quiet which is to be expected at this time of year.

I had signed up to do Christmas canapes, desserts and starters at the local college. I got the recipes this week and it has left me uninspired so I've cancelled the courses. I felt at £15 plus ingredients it was too expensive for something that didn't float my boat.

Had a very hard frost this morning, so I've sneaked out of bed and put the heating on. Debating whether to wash my bedding, doubt it'll dry outside but it does seem a shame not to take advantage of some nice weather. Plus it means I'll have to get out of it. LOL

Really frosty here too Lu, just been and mucked out Ned and got the ice off the pond for the ducks. Today we'll be cleaning up a bit too. I picked OH up from darts really late around 1am  he then preceeded to talk s***e for around an hour so Im a tired bunny and he also managed to wake me up around 8. Why men cant try to be quiet when you only get one lie in a week beats me!!! Sorry you felt left out at the fundraiser too, I know what you mean though sometimes you just dont feel that sociable and people give you a wide berth, well they do me anyway. Hope you have a nice weekend.

I just don't have a big network of friends and it bothers me. I was never in the popular groups and I really don't know what I do wrong.

I am not particularily sociable & really struggle at socially things & tend to avoid them.

I've cried like that too. Lucielle you are one of the loveliest people on here, I've known and liked you virtually for years! And I know I'd like and enjoy your company if I really met you too. Having said that, the two of us would be bonding over a mass bakeathon I expect!
