Just caught up with you Lu, have been MIA again due to internet and life in general. Hope things improve with your Mum and sorry the theory failed again for DS. Next time he'll fly through. You sound busy as usual Im trying the weight loss yet again. We went to Dublin last weekend and DH took some photo's, I will lose weight!!!

I'd really like to get to the next stone barrier by Christmas. Managed to get some of the Christmas shopping done, just need to get it stashed.

Had lunch out and mine was awful, at least I didn't eat too much. Got some mulled wine from M&S and 2 bottles of bubbly that were on offer and a bottle of Port.

Went to look at the tile place on the way home and have got some ideas, need to contact the chap who can get us a discount and then get some costs in.

Well have been a very silly L and made a right c0ck up. We have 2 virgin credit cards 1 mine and 1 OHs. Mine is a zero balanace and OHs has the remaining debt. I have been making the payments every week and was shocked to print off the statement and find interest charged and a late payment charge. I've only gone and made the payment to my card with zero balance.

I phoned virgin and they are making a refung on my card, halving the interest charged on OHs, as long as I make the repayment. I paid them there and then and have got the interest free reinstated. Still goes to show that an old timer like me can still get caught out.

OH has cleaned the chimney and the hoover decided now was a good time to die. Left it for a little while and its working again. Think it maybe on its last legs.

Had a pretty quiet weekend. De-frosted the chest freezer and had a sort out, sorted out all the jam jars and now have space on top of the cupboards.

Work wasn't too bad, a day nearer to Friday.

I dont that once, except I thought I was paying myself for the month but instead paid the credit card ! The bank manager loved me but I was panic stricken !! :rotfl:

I have deleted my card payment details off the internet banking details. Fingers crossed I don't mess up again.

Are you paying for the bathroom upgrade L? If you're renting shouldn't the L/L do that? Or if that's not poss could you ask them to at least pay for materials?

We are doing the bathroom. The L/L won't pay for anything and as we've resigned ourselves to staying here we're trying to make it as nice as we can for little money. I know it does sound daft but it really gets you down living in a hovel. There is a thing called 'betterment' but I haven't looked into that.
