I know I'm being thick but...............
My daughter is coming to the end of year 10 so there's three years to go before she starts Uni. However last week she enjoyed an excellent free three day taster at the Royal Agricultural University and thoroughly enjoyed it so we're having lots of conversations - one of them being money. I've just been looking at a BBC…

Part time MBA funding
Hello, I am about to undertake a part time MBA costing circa 28k. Unfortunately, my giant multinational employer does not sponsor any further study so I am self-funding. Part-time courses are also not eligible for scholarships. Roughly 10k of that will be covered by postgraduate government student loan however it is the…

No thanks. - Last month I…

Hello everyone I’m in a bit of a pickle in relation to how I go about repaying student loans because I’m going to China to teach English in January and I might go for more than one year if I notify the government is there a chance that I could pay a reasonable amount whilst in another country? My fear is that I’ll come…

Student loan question
I’m hoping to go to university to study as an osteopath. If I never earn over 25k, is it really true that no money at all needs repaid? And after 30 years it’s wiped off completely? If I move and live in USA will I still be liable to pay back my loan, just salary depending?

Student Loan Statement
I'm sure this has been asked before but I haven't found the specific issue, if someone can share a link I'd be grateful. I've received a statement recently saying that in the period April 17- April 18 I repaid £385 to SLC off the balance of my loan. This is demonstrably false, I pay approx £110 every month and so should…

Are students eligible for any benefits if they can't find summer work.
My daughter's home from Uni for the summer and has been flat out looking for a job since the end of May, with no luck so far. If she can't find anything is there any chance she might be eligible for benefits? I'll be paying the first payment on her accommodation tenancy in July and don't have much money for anything else.

Self Storage-cheaper insurance for contents?
Not sure if I should put this on a general page but...I'm storing some of my daughter's things in Safe Storage for the summer to save bringing them all home and taking them back in September-my tiny car isn't fit for the journey to her uni anyway! Safe Storage insist on contents insurance and apparently it's cheaper to get…

Are there any adult mature students on here that have applied for and done a masters? I am setting to and about to apply for masters but I suddenly realised that I had been a tad dumb and hadn't researched exactly how I'd be funding it. I assumed the universities I'd be applying to would let me know what to apply for. Is…
