Club files for voluntary bankruptcy
Not totally sure if this is the right place so please move if not. I paid for £275 worth of 'points' from a golf club before christmas (22nd Dec 2015) with the idea I would use them in the summer. The idea was they were valid for use until Dec 31st 2016. The way the membership worked was you gave a certain number of points…

Is my diet too healthy?
I have just felt quite a sharp pain in my chest and then i felt a bit dizzy, not sure if the dizzy was because i thought i might be having a heart attack. But it has just got me thinking that i may be over indulging in good food and it has done something bad to me? Most of the food i have been eating this month is fruit,…

LDNM - London Muscle
Hi folks Seen some info in the press about LDNM London Muscle, reviews on line look good, but it's pretty pricey. It's an on line guide and is 60.00. Just wondered if anyone had tried it. The transformations on line look amazing. TIA

Can you suggest activities for me to try??
I used to love boot camps outside but due to an injury can no longer do them. I was a member of a gym until last November when dad died and I didn't have the motivation or desire to go so stopped my membership. Now its too expensive to join again and other gyms don't have the classes I did. I never really used the gym, I'm…

I thought VAT was 20%? I'm being charged 29.3% here!
I bought a used bike part from Canada on eBay (I am in the UK). The part itself was £39 and the seller charged £12 postage so I paid 51 altogether. Today a card turns up telling me I have to pay another £19.72. On the card it says £8 of this is a "handling fee" so this leaves £11.72 left. On an item costing £39 @ 20% VAT I…

Couch straight to 5k
So I met up with a friend last week and I let him talk me into doing the local Park Run (5K) on Saturday morning. I do a lot of walking and occasionally frequent the gym to use the weights and treadmill. Anyway, I completed the course (in the wind and rain) and didn’t come last, but must confess it was more of a jog/walk…

Running Events

Can you swim too much?
I know about running and how it's good to have rest days to aid muscle repair. What about if you swim every day? I've recently started swimming every day and do 60-80 lengths a day. I can't see that it would cause muscle damage in the same way that running would....am I right? Thanks for any insight.

Fully waterproof trainers
Am after some fully waterproof trainers if possible, for trsil/field running this winter, is there such a thing? Not fussed on them getting filthy but need to keep my feet dry if possible, and all the fields and tracks local to me are wet even after a quick shower
