Jigsaw roll or portapuzzle?
Hi, I'm thinking of getting some kind of jigsaw saver. I've seen ones that roll up and they are a lot less than the big board ones which fold up. Obviously the roll up ones take up less space too. I was wondering if anyone has used them and which you would opt for? Thanks :T

Alternative Christmas Cake ideas?
Every year my mum makes Christmas cakes for everyone in the family, as well as several friends and neighbours. It must cost her a fortune in dried fruit and takes her weeks to soak the fruit, bake all the cakes, and decorate them. She doesn't even like Christmas cake though so doesn't get to enjoy the end product, so this…

Stocking Gifts for Teenage Boys
2 years ago I started this thread for us to all share ideas, because I know this age range is hard to think of things for https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4242619 I bumped it last year but for this year I thought I'd start a nice new shiny thread, as otherwise it's long to read and trends, availability and…

Christmas TV adverts
Hi all Has anyone else noticed that the Christmas TV adverts seem quite depressive this year? I realise that they are reflective & thought provoking, but I thought Christmas was supposed to be a jolly time lol - these adverts at the moment have a tendancy for making a person feel melancholy and really lack any 'feel good…

Thinking about buying a pre lit tree for a corner of patio and wondering about one of these from JL. I'm planning to make some cake (1lb loaves) for xmas gifts and want to wrap them nicely in cellophane. I'm having real problems deciding what to use and wondered if anyone had any advise. Making New Candles from Old Ones
I have 4 fab candles which smell lovely. Unfortunately despite my best efforts, they have burnt through leaving lots of lovely wax. Where do I get wick to melt them down and make new ones? Do I just gently melt the wax in an old pan ( or bain marie) and put the wax back in the glass, and put the wick in? How do I keep the…

Electric blanket or similar
Hello :) My Nan mentioned that she was cold during the night etc and sometimes a hot water bottle doesn't help. Reusable advent calendars
I love the fact that using these means you can give someone chocolates/gifts that they'd really like but most of the ones I've seen are quite expensive and I don't think my boyfriend would appreciate me spending £10-£15 (or £25 if I got the one I really liked) before I've even started getting the fillings. Does anyone have…

Which Slanket?
My mum would love a slanket type thing and so I thought I would get her one for Christmas. Obviously I'm on a budget and can't afford the £30.00 the originals currently are. I have found these two and was wondering which most people would go for as I'm kind of torn between the two.…
