Hamper help - budget baking hamper

I am making my first attempt at a hamper and need some inspiration please!!

I want to make a small cake baking hamper but as cheaply as possible.


So far I have bought some pretty cupcake cases and cake decorations but what else can I get?!

Sprinkles, wooden spoon, print off recipes in a nice font from the internet. How about presenting everything in a mixing bowl?

look in poundland at the jane asher stuff and there is also a book

Definitely get the pound land Jane asher stuff. I got some great cookie cutters there. How about a little bottle of vanilla essence, a spatula, some chocolate chips etc?

Measuring spoons, Bero recipe book, Christmassy spices, Christmassy apron and/or tea towel or oven gloves. Theres are some lovely and reasonable Xmas cake tins and Christmas plates in Home Bargains.

Re my post above about vanilla essence, if your budget will stretch to it in the supermarkets you can get this Dutch vanilla essence in a vintage style glass bottle, think it's about a fiver but it's a big bottle. It's the best baking ingredient ever, it really gives cakes and biscuits a delicious flavour!

B&M also do a budget baking section with all the things mentioned above.

Also Aldi do lots of basic baking things but if you want to do a Christmas theme they also have that too.
