Everyone on here was so helpful aout my poorly cat Rusty (who is getting much better now he is allowed outside) so I have another cat question which sounds a bit odd. My other cat, who had a really big loud meow has lost her voice (its more like a very faint croak, if anything). Im not sure if this requires the expense of…

pregnant stray cat
I got a bit of a problem with a pregnant stray cat and don't know what to do about it. My next door neighbour has been feeding the thing but he is in hospital at the moment so I'm feeding it. I don't fancy a bunch of stay kittens adding to the local cat population but I don't know who to call or what to do about it. I…

Integrating a rescue cat - tips please - UPDATE
I am getting a rescue cat this week. Boy 8 years old, lovely friendly little cat! I am slightly worried tho as I already have a 3 year old girl I have had from a kitten. Cat furniture repellant..
Does anyone know of any old style receipe for a cat furniture repellant spray that can be used instead of buying a shop bought chemical spray. I know the one I was looking at in the shop had citrus in it as cats don't like citrus smells, but I was wondering if I could make my own. The trouble is I wouldn't know what…

Pet Insurance
I know this has been discussed before, and I was about to go with Tescos, but went to our vet for the first time and he thought they were really bad. Now I know he's probably paid by PetPlan to say that, but I don't know. PetPlan do seem really expensive. It's what our cat is on at the moment, but that's only £11. Add the…

My poor dog

Flea and worming treatments for pets
I have looked at three of the websites I have found on here. https://www.petsensedirect.co.uk, https://www.vetuk.co.uk and https://www.petvetcare.co.uk. The cheapest appears to be vetuk, until they recommend your use their special delivery service for £7.99 as they won't guarantee their free delivery service will get to…

Puppy costs
We are picking up our lovely 7 1/2 week old puppy on Sunday, and I know we have to take her to the vet for her 8 week jabs and whatnots. So I can prepare for the outlay of this, how much is it likely to be and what other costs are there at the vet at this stage (i.e. worming). I have food, insurance, bed and toys all…

Change in M&S pet insurance
Had a letter through today to say that M&S pet insurance is changing it's policy (now that it has me using them for my 4 cats!) They are going to charge £50 or 15% of treatment costs from now on, like most other companies, which is a real blow because they got a lot of business from not charging at all. So my question is,…
