Pet Insurance - cover for life
Which of the main insurers covers pet illnesses for life and not just for the duration of the annual policy? I know that you can choose either with PetPlan but they are expensive compared with other providers. Thanks

My poor dog
Over the weekend our dog who is a cross between an Alsation and a Dorberman (aged 12 ) has had huge difficulty in walking and especially when having to get up. My instincts are that I should have her put to sleep tomorrow out of kindness but it's so hard :o

Flea and worming treatments for pets
I have looked at three of the websites I have found on here. https://www.petsensedirect.co.uk, https://www.vetuk.co.uk and https://www.petvetcare.co.uk. The cheapest appears to be vetuk, until they recommend your use their special delivery service for £7.99 as they won't guarantee their free delivery service will get to…

Puppy costs
We are picking up our lovely 7 1/2 week old puppy on Sunday, and I know we have to take her to the vet for her 8 week jabs and whatnots. So I can prepare for the outlay of this, how much is it likely to be and what other costs are there at the vet at this stage (i.e. worming). I have food, insurance, bed and toys all…

Change in M&S pet insurance
Had a letter through today to say that M&S pet insurance is changing it's policy (now that it has me using them for my 4 cats!) They are going to charge £50 or 15% of treatment costs from now on, like most other companies, which is a real blow because they got a lot of business from not charging at all. So my question is,…

Horse insurance
Hi I am new to the forum and wondered if anyone could help me. I have seen these insurance comparison sites and I wondered if there are any that include insurance for horses? Looking at Petplan for our new dog as that is who we have our cat with. The quotes for the insurance I want is £20.60, but there is mention of a discount for multi-pets. I pay £11.04 for my cat and can't ring up till lunch, but just wondered how much of a discount per month they are talking about. Does anyone know?

Anyone got any tips to stop my cat weeing where she likes? She doesn't wee downstairs in the kitchen (unless we have left a cushion out for her, so we don't any more), or in our bedroom where she sleeps. Cat Food
My two rescue cats have dried food, I vary between different makes and flavours, but they do seem to get bored. I supplement it with some wet food to give extra flavour, some of these have a liquid in them which helps to moisten and flavour the dry food. Has anyone any suggestions for buying or making a suitable liquid or…

stinky poopin cat!
Can anybody give us some advice? We've had our cat about 3 months, he's just over two years old, and he keeps pooping around the house, rather than in the litter tray. We keep his litter tray regularly changed, and we've tried different varieties of litter, but he still insists on going either in the bath, or just on the…
