Cheap and reliable online pet supplies
Can I start a thread hopefully to become a sticky? When I want to buy something, I like to compare all places first and keep forgetting where to look. Places are mentioned in lots of threads but one has to read through lenghthy posts. How about I start by saying who I've used and then people can PM for other ones to be…

Questions for dog walkers
What time of day is your last walk of the day with your dog and how far do you go? I usually go out about 8pm and we walk roughly 2 miles, more if he hasn't pooped yet. Other dog walkers that I have spoken to go out at about the same time but don't walk as far as I do so it just got me wondering.

Flea treatment that doesn't wok!
Afternoon all, Hopefully someone can point us in the right direction but we used to by flea drops called 'Advocate' which worked fine. Our vets stated that they no longer stock this and that they now use 'Prinovox'. Long story short...it doesn't work! I've spoken to the vets this afternoon and they have no solution other…

Kong fillers
My dog normally eats dry food (James Wellbeloved), but I have in the past given him frozen wet dog food in kongs. I would like to start doing this again, when I take him on the Kings Cross to Newcastle train, to help keep him content and occupied during the long train journey. But I noted that the wet tinned dog food…

Trying to cut the cost of cat ownership
Sadly both our elderly cats are now using the litter tray rather than going outside to do their business. So I am having to buy quite a lot of cat litter. I'm currently using ASDA or Tesco's cheapest offering which is £1.55 for 10 litres and I can't find cheaper (Has anyone?). The trouble is that it doesn't last long as it…

Lost my cat today
My cat died today. After 19 years together, well it would be 19 years this august. I was upstairs asleep and when I went downstairs she was splayed out with her eyes open in the cat bed. I can't forgive myself because she died alone and I wasn't near her when it happened. I knew it was coming as she was showin signs…

Hi everyone My old furry purrball has just been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. He's been very unwell but has responded to his first course of medication, put on some weight and seems better overall. Dissolvable or Absorbable stitches
I had my 3 month old Chi mix female puppy fixed on Sept. 1st. They said that the stitches were absorbable and that they would go away within 10 to 14 days and to leave her e-collar on for that amount of time as well. It has now been 10 days and the outside stitches look the same as the day she had surgery. And she really…

Where to buy raw food for dog (not minced)
I need to buy raw food for my dog but need foods that require lots of chewing and to be as close to the experience of eating food that he had caught himself if he was in the wild as possible. Houdini dog - fireworks, harnesses.
My dog is a 17 month old beagle pug cross – I've had him for just over 4 months now. He's a friendly little lad, loves his cuddles. He was naughty and wilful quite a lot of the time at the start but with routine and training is making slow but steady improvement; he's doing so well. (TLDR: recommendations for keeping a dog…

What time of year are deer most active?
I've had some success in recalling my dog over the past six months, albeit mostly from other dogs rather than wild animals. However, over the past three days it's all gone to pot due to a sudden preponderance of roe deer in the region. So he's 100% back on the lead again. He tends to disappear for about half an hour, but I…
