I couldn't help myself! They were reduced something stupid at Mr T and so I bought 3 tins... *sigh* problem is I haven't the foggiest idea about what to do with them... I sometimes use red lentils to bulk out beef in lasagna, but I think from memory these are green ones... Ideas on a post card :rotfl:

HM Cut Flower Food?
I have had good success with this years flower cutting patch, but when in the vase I would like to add 'plant food' - like you would if you bought a bunch of flowers. Any thoughts on how to make a general purpose cut flower food...? (I'm sure I read something once about vinegar...and something else....but what?)

1. Bicarb Of Soda 2. Kefir
Hi 1. BICARB OF SODA Just decided to start experimenting with cleaning with bicarb - bought teensy (ie 200gr) container from supermarket at 33p. This is obviously a very cheap-type ingredient - probably real price is literally pennies for this amount. On googling on how to buy industrial-size quantities (as 200gr wont…

Nutty Chocolate Cake Recipe
I used to have a chocolate cake recipe from a student cook book, which I can no longer find. If I remember rightly, there was no flour (or very little) in the recipe, but it included ground almonds and hazlenuts, and possibly walnuts. The resulting cake was absolutely delicious, really moist, nutty and chocalatey, and it…

Cheapest way to use washing machine?
Time for another daft question....... :D This may seems silly but is washing at 30 degrees cheaper than washing at 40 degrees and if yes, how? I also have a 32 minute cycle at 50 degrees - is this cheaper then using a normal 30/40 degrees wash (my normal cycle is just over an hour) as it's only half the time. I realise…

Is my SC faulty?
Is my SC faulty or is it my brain? Decided to try my Morphy Richards 48710 slow cooker for the first time today. Diced some spuds, swede, carrots and skirt, all smaller than half an inch square. Chucked in half a tin of chopped tomatoes with herbs and topped up with boiling water. The crock pot was about half full. I…

Removing spray adhesive from window
Does anyone have any tips for removing spray glue off a window? I put some of that on a roll frosty looking stuff up. It said it was static, but it kept falling down, so I put the spray glue on the window and stuck it that way. Its been up a couple of years (2) and I have now got the sticky backed one that has glue on it…
