Let there be light
According to today’s BT ( so it’s bound to be true) there will be no money for street lighting by 2020. It’s long struck me as a waste of electricity anyway. Has anyone been to Australia? You notice it gets pretty dark at night over there, then you realise there are no streetlights, at least not in the small towns. What do…

Scheme for replacing lead water pipe?
My mains water from the main isolation tap in my house back out (presumably) to the street, is a lead pipe. A plumber suggested to me, though he didn't know, that perhaps there might be some government scheme to replace this. Would anyone happen to know if there is one in NI? Thanks.

Grit boxes - roads only or driveways too?
Hi Guys, As per the title - is the grit in yellow, council provided, grit boxes intended for general use or is it supposed only to be for public roads which are not otherwise gritted?
