Residential home - East Belfast

My 86 year old mother can no longer can care for herself and we have decided the best course would be for going into a care home. She has dementia but would not need a nursing home.
Obviously this is not an easy decision to take so I would be obliged if anyone any recommendations for a home around east Belfast?

Based on my past experience albeit it a few years back I would avoid Towell House.
Take advice from the care manager assigned to your Mothers' case, visit all possibilities and talk to the home managers.
Also do your own research on the RQIA website https://rqia.org.uk/ and look at the inspection reports for those that you shortlist.0 -

My elderly neighbours, husband and wife, were cared for here and I visited, always a lovely atmosphere, interesting activities going on for those able , and pleasant staff.
All on one level and circular so residents can wander to their hearts desire.
I saw Xmas crafts going on, dressing up stuff, prams and dolls etc which sounds grim but wasn’t.Norn Iron Club member 4730
