Hi, Finished my 5 year IVA successfully in April 2010. Checked my credit file. It`s still a mess with Defaults everywhere. IVA is marked as satisfied but I cannot even get a bank account with a debit card. Are there any reputable firms that will sort your file out for you for a fee as I have written to companies, using…

Windfalls and IVA's
This is more of a hypothetical question really, but one that i have often wondered about. The terms of my IVA state that any windfall i recieve over £200 i have to declare which is fair enough. However, if for example you won the lottery and say won £100,000 how would the supervisor deal with the windfall vs the amount of…

4th year IVA
Dear All, I'm approaching the 5th year of my IVA, which so far has been perfect for me, trouble free and manageable. I am concerned that there may be a big review at the beginning of the 5th Year that I need to collate paperwork for. Is this the case or does it carry on ticking over as usual, bar the annual review? Many…

Charco- Mortgage interest likely rises
Dear all, according to most news reports we can expect morgage interest rates to start rising within the forseeable future. A very small rise makes a big difference in payments and therefore free money for the IVA. Now i know the IP has to consider that but what if a rise of just 2 % were to happen over the next year or…

Creditor meeting question
Hello I am part way through my IVA application with a debt company. Under my list of creditors 3 have been assigned to KMPG. Although these debts are actually with 2 different creditors (15k out of approx 42k total) does this mean that if they disagree with the IVA then because 15k is over the 25% the IVA can be rejected…

Beat the Bailiff & IVA. What the hell??
I've just been watching Beat the Bailiff on ITV3 where they have a rep from payplan go in and advise the person on it of their debt options. The person today had somewhere between 14-20k debt and less that £50 disposable income. He had no assets either and his car was worth under £500. Yet Payplan said that his options…
