Single food shopping budget
Hi there, I have been pondering how much is too much for food shopping per month. Live alone and recently started shopping at Asda. Buying the three meat items for £10.00 so end up with 9 dinners. Back to living alone myself recently and after years of not having to deal with this I have no idea what should be enough to…

Chocolate santas
Tesco has large chocolate santas etc significantly reduced (from about £9 to £2) with BBE of Oct 2016. Does the team think that if kept in a cool dry place (and I don't forget they're there) they'd be okay for a further two months i.e. christmas 2016? Or I might just eat them myself next week :rotfl:

Bournville Cocoa @ Tesco
Just an observation really - I went to Tesco today and cocoa was on my shopping list. I usually use for baking, but have the occasional drink of it too :) In the bakery section, it was on offer at £2.00 for 250g (reduced by 50p). The tube says "Cadbury Bournville cocoa for baking" - it's fair trade and the ingredient is…

Money Moral Dilemma: Should I use my 'lost' loyalty card?
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks... Unfortunately I lost my loyalty card for a coffee shop chain, with nine out of ten stamps on it, before I could claim my reward cuppa. But the person at the till (who recognised me from my frequent visits) gave me a new one and filled it with fresh stamps. A couple of days…

Proper corned beef!
Growing up my family made corned beef. Bought in any shop at the time, 20 years ago, was a lump of beef and it was boiled on the hob. This was in Ireland. I loved it. It used to just fall to flakes and was my favourite dinner with cabbage and potatoes! I have never seen it in the uk but I'm now wondering if I've just…

Debenhams food gift question
Not sure which board to put this on; I have a food related question! I wanted to get a chocolate gift box and have Debenhams vouchers I can use (absolutely no cash to use anymore so it has to be from Debenhams as this is where the vouchers are for). The vouchers are paper vouchers so I can't use them online, only in store.…
