I can see they were imported from the caribean orginally, maybe they dont have to have a date on them in their country. But thought they would have to have if they are imported into the UK? Do food products have to…

Nicest Own Brand Jaffa Cakes?
We are having to cut back on many things due to recent circumstances. And Jaffa Cakes are more of a luxury so they have to either go or we get cheaper ones.. I'm just wondering if there is any nice decent alternatives to the McVities Jaffa Cakes? as they are too expensive to continue to buy.. Cheers MSE'ers :money:

Where can I buy cheap single ply kitchen towel?
I used to buy Tesco Everyday Value Jumbo Kitchen Towel which was cheap and cheerful (I don't need it to be absorbent) but they haven't had it in stock on-line for months so it looks like they have discontinued it. I've looked at the Sainsbury's Basics range but it is 2 ply.

Where does everyone do their grocery shop
Hi there I currently shop at Asda but was thinking about trying Aldi, Lidl and Farmfood and probably Morrison and Sainsburys as I am lucky enough to that all these supermarkets are very close to me. So I'm really just looking for people's opinions and what they would/wouldn't buy from the cheaper supermarkets.

I have just, hopefully made my last visit to a supermarket this year or certainly before Christmas. Having done 3 online shops and 2 supermarket visits I wondered which establishments other people visit for Christmas and if you use different supermarkets to the rest of the year? Turkey at Lidl
Fresh bronze free range turkeys seem to have an extra discount that I haven't seen advertised in the shop, it is just applied when you go to pay. We purchased a 5.715kg turkey which at £5.75/kg should have been £32.86 but there was 'Christmas Reduction' of -£10.23 so we ended up paying £22.63 (i.e. £3.96 / Kg). This was a…

What Christmas food/things have you seen sold out in supermarkets near you?
Each year, each supermarket runs out of one product. Sainsburys - mincemeat. Remember a couple of years ago, they had loads and selling them off for 10p a jar in the NY. My parents went to Asda and noticed no Stilton, unless in those cheese selection packs. They have loads of other cheeses. Same with Waitrose. My parents…
