Hi all Tesco is trialling removing 5p plastic bags from its stores (it will still be selling its 10p bags for life). The trial will be in just three stores for now - Aberdeen, Dundee and Norwich - and will last 10 weeks. What do you think? It's 18 months or so since the plastic bag charge came in. Have you got used to…

Basically as the title states, can I use my partner's card and details but get the shopping delivered to the same address for the new customer deal. So far we've only used my card, but of course it's been delivered to this address.

Just visited M&S as I have some sparks vouchers including 20% off gin. Warners rubarb gin is on offer for £33 so voucher makes it £26.50 rather than £36 full price. Also selling off The Bitter Truth Cucumber Bitters for £4 rather than £14.

I'm interested in food made from green banana flour since it has a high content of indigestible carbohydrate. I read that in Africa green banana flour is actually cheaper than wheat flour, presumably due to the climate. Does anyone know a cheap source of banana flour or bread (not !!!!!!! bread" which is made with regular…

Hello, I don't usually come onto this board -I usually hang out at Old Style. However, this post seemed to fit better with you. I don't know if any of you ever visit the Savvy Woman website, but Sarah Pennells has done a price comparison across supermarkets for 6 basic items. Asda was the cheapest, with Aldi & Lidl much…

Official MoneySavingExpert Insert: Check our Tassimo Deals page regularly for any offers, discounts etc Back to the original post... I just bought a Bosch Tassimo coffee maker from Amazon in one of the Cyber Monday lightning deals. I knew that the discs were expensive from the outset. Pretty much like a lot of things:…

If you go onto the Checkout Smart app and filter by Morrisons there is an offer where if you buy two Colgate Max White 75ml Toothpastes you will get £3.50 back. Normally this would make it BOGOF, however Morrisons already have these items on offer at £2 each meaning it works out at 25p per tube. So buy two for £4 and then…

Where can I buy sliced strips of red cabbage? I have tried Sainsburies and tesco and asda and iceland and no luck I'm looking for a package/bag of sliced red cabbage lots of pieces like this I have seen one takeaway place offer them as part of a salad in pita bread. But I am looking for a way I can get them from a shop, so…

Hi, I have a theory, hope you can correct me - Do supermarkets change the receipes for fresh own-brand soups in the summer? I swear my local supermarket has put cheaper ingredients in, in the last month or so. I figure that much less people buy soups in the summer since its generally a winter food. And they must throw away…

Is it me getting old & my taste buds are not working as well or are Jersey Royal spuds just not the same any more. There used to be nothing nicer than fresh spring crops on the plate with a big helping of JR spuds with a bid knob of salted butter. But now, they don't taste much different to any other spud. Any views? Or do…

It has happened again, I have got home to find Lidl produce full of mould and sold to me past it's use by date (which is a criminal offence). This would have been avoided had I been able to understand the "use-by" date on the product, however it is encrypted, maybe to mislead the consumer into buying expired, which is my…

Getting fed up of Morrison's silly substitutions in my online orders. Is there a way of telling them NOT to put substitute items in my order ?? Is there a 'check' box somewhere ?? TIA

i am aiming to consume more healthy fats from nuts and i hear macadamia nuts are great at providing fats, as well as magnesium. however, everywhere i look for good quality macadamia nuts, they seem pricey for a couple hundred grams. anyone know where i could get good quality macadamia nuts for a reasonable price?

What are your best buys on Amazon Subscribe which save you the most money over supermarket prices? I currently buy the Tassimo coffee pods and Swiss Bouillon but there are bigger discounts to be had the more products you subscribe to so I'm looking for other products to add on.

Is it just my area or has everyones Asda delivery charges gone up? I used to be able to book a slot for £1 and now the cheapest is £2. It even says 'have your shopping delivered from £2' on the homepage Their minimum order value is £25 & I really liked being able to order this small amount for just £1 delivery (although I…

I've seen some sites and local Facebook posts offering bulk packs of varied meats and eggs. Has anyone bought these and if so, how does the price/quality compare to buying the items individually at a supermarket?

I bought some spices from Asda last weekend but ended up getting the wrong one (d'oh!). Meant to buy turmeric, but bought coriander for some bizarre reason. I already have an unopened bag of coriander at home. I can't see any exclusions from the Asda returns policy. Can anyone confirm it applies to food? It was only £1,…
