Good and bad buys from Netto (much like the equivalent Aldi and Lidl thread)
The 'Good and bad buys from Aldi and Lidl' thread has proved useful over the years, and convinced many doubters that whilst both are much cheaper than mainstream supermarkets the quality's every bit as good - if not better. Around 13 stores across the north of England at the moment (it's a joint operation between the…

Charges for plastic bags
I saw on their website they will be charging 5p per bags starting in october. They don't seem to have an option to do bagless deliveries. They will apparently give you a refund for every bags you give back. I am using the bags for my dustbin, and will carry on using them a it is still cheaper than buying proper bin liners…

The Great Hunt: Where can you get bargain food before closing, eg, sushi?
Where can you get bargain food before closing, eg, sushi? Many know about ‘yellow sticker’ supermarket reductions where they slash prices late in the day, but they're not the only ones - eg, Japanese takeaway Itsu slashes sushi and salad boxes by 50% half an hour before closing (times vary by store). We want to tap…

Aldi vs Sainsbury's basics
Sorry if this is written in the wrong place.... I currently shop at Sainsbury's buying mostly their Basic range. I was wondering if I would save more money at Aldi? Next time I go shopping I'll keep the receipt and then compare at Aldi, but seeing as I only go shopping twice a month it's going to be a while! So just…

Where do you do your grocery shopping?
Hi all, I was just interested to see where everyone does their shopping. I love Waitrose, purely because of their customer service, quality and values. Sadly though, I don't have one close by so I don't shop there often :( I'm often in M&S for lunch break foods, and of course sweeties! Their food selections are also very…

I guess they could change from time to time. 1 South London, Surrey, Basingstoke 2 North London, Reading, Andover, Chelmsford…

B&M Bargains Cheap Food
I spend quite a bit in B&M Bargains, a lot of things are short dated but usually cheaper than the supermarkets. I buy the big tins of Ye Olde Oak Rustic Chicken & Pasta Soup, also the Rustic Pork and Lentil Soup - these are both sold at 59p - instead of the £1.49 as stated on tin. Today I also picked up a Chinese Savoury…

Morrison's "Farmer's milk"
Morrison's will be branding a "Farmer's milk" soon with the price loaded at 10p per litre, which apparently will go to the farmers. Will you be buying into this, or do you think it's a publicity stunt?? Two types of four pint-packs, side by side, of the same product and one will be 23p more. Who's next?? If I can buy four…

Any offers on plenty kitchen rolls?
Anyone know of any offers at pres. My stocks are very low and need to buy very soon. 50p per roll is my usual target price but can't find anything like that at the moment. I've tried other cheap ones in the past but nothing compares.

Is it wrong to accept a drink given in error?
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks... I went to a certain fast food restaurant recently with my kids, and when I collected my order I noticed I'd been given one too many drinks. Is it wrong to take a free lunch when I don't need it?
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks... There's a man who serves plates of hot food (donated by supermarkets) on behalf of the Hare Krishna movement at a university near where I work. I've started going at lunchtime, but some of my colleagues think it should only be for those who really need it. The man knows I'm…
