I am very bearish on the whole worldwide economic situation so read and watch lots of "doom" laden financial media. Does anyone away from negative…

HPI From 2010-2015 Paris +23% France +4% ile-de-france** (excluding paris) +8% Greater London +40% England & Wales +11% SE England +18% But this also masks the fact that house prices are already much higher here, the only data I could find was that in 2005 the average UK house was 75% more expensive than the average French…

Surrounded by "Big spenders"
Sometimes I feel surrounded by people who live faux celebrity lifestyles all funded by interest only mortgages, balloon payment cars and credit cards. We don't spend much as a family, we have quite modest tastes, buy food in Aldi, drive a 7 year old car and try to save a proportion of our wages. We come from a…

House Prices Up Up Up.....The Express.....

Deflation, deflation, deflation
CPI at -0.1%, first time since 1964. Many things are actually getting cheaper, rather than just decreasing in the rate at which they get more expensive. This is of course a temporary thing, and the BOE are right to look through it as they did when inflation was temporarily above target. However I'm sure the usual suspects…
