Best? In terms of what? Property?

If so, London has generally seen a higher than average increase in property value.

that said, London gets more invested into it's area so I can understand that

I'm selling 1m sq parcels of land in my back garden for £500 each. I predict value growth of 500% per year!

Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.

You don't invest in property with a 5 year plan, property is a long term investment, end of story.

I'm not talking about having to sell after 5 years, just somewhere that might offer a good head start.

Spoke to my mortgage adviser, looks like I could buy another 100k property after costs. Was thinking I should put my money where my mouth was but can't get anything like that in the golden Alexandra Park triangle sadly and can't bring myself to sell up this place because I'm too attached to the garden and my new family of blue tits and old family of woodpeckers.
