Capital One balance transfer interest warning!
I just thought that I would share my experience as a warning! I transferred £2,000  on to a Capital One Credit card, never spent on it and managed to pay it all off just before the one year 0% interest rate expired. This month, when I received my credit card statement, rather than the £0.00 balance I was expecting,…

Halifax Credit Card Statements
Today, the 24th of Feb, I contacted Halifax Credit Card regarding my past statements. I was told that the last four statements will cost me £5 and then for every one required before this, it would cost me £5 EACH. Is this a fair amount to pay? Seems a bit steep to me!

As per title really. I have had quite a few cards over the past few years, and would be interested to see what the issuing banks are and if there is any correlation to the rates and limits I've been offered. ING not so bad
I totally agree with Martin's point about the ING standard rate of 4.75% on their Direct Savings Account. It is disgraceful. However, they have launched a new product that is actually quite good: namely the Fixed Rate Savings Account. It runs for 6 months and gives you 6% interest AER (Gross 5.91%). You have to have a…

Quick question. I have an Abbey Credit Card (run by MBNA). I have a very small balance (2.9% until July) on this which will be paid off shortly. Once this has been paid I would like to transfer another balance to this card - I am pretty sure they won't give me 0% (as I haggled for the 2.9%) but wondered if it would be…

I've just been watching today's (Friday) Working Lunch on BBC2 and they've announced that a bank or banks is/are going to start charging an annual fee to those of us who either use our credit cards only occasionally or not at all. So I set up a standing order for £100 a month from May to be paid from my account on the 2nd of every month. Because I had stopped using the card and I knew the standing order was being paid I didn't notice that since August last…
