Computer not booting up
A friend's PC is refusing to boot up. Windows XP. When it is swicthed on it gets as far as the "boot screen" where it says press F2 to enter boot menu but goes no further .... What can I do ? ... He didn't make himself a boot disc !! ... I can lend him my XP discs to reinstall XP but he doesn't want to wipr the hard disc…

Anyone use Ubuntu with iPlayer/TV Catchup/YouTube - Slow after upgrading to 9.04?
I'm not sure if it is the upgrade from ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04 or firefox from 3.0.8 to 3.0.9, but when I am watching full screen steaming flash videos now, the video is no longer smooth. As per title ;) For example if I set one specific episode of Emmerdale to record it will record again at some obscure time of night.
