Ok finally got pc to start (don't ask!!) and now the screen says WinFast in big letters and underneath it says press tab to post or del to enter setup but nothing happens when I press either key?!

hp printer
my hp business inkjet printer was showing empty on black and cyan and the paper empty light was on,so i bought a new black ink but couldnt get a cyan,have fitted the black and cant get the thing to print,does it have to have all colour cartidges full as well, wont even try and print a test page or by pressing the paper…

have i lost files?
i'm not very knowledgeable about computers ( obviously !!) as i used a recovery disc as having tech.problems, this solved the particular problem but i now find i have lost files with photo's , letters, essays etc. on now wonder what has happened to these, are they permanently lost or can they be recovered ?, thank you
