PS3 HDMI Audio output problem
my tv has a dvi input, but my ps3 has only one hdmi output.
if you use that for the video via a hdmi-dvi lead, where do you get an output for the audio?

you can set the output to use the phono leads (red, white & yellow) that are supplied with the console.
to change the audio output settings, go to settings > sound settings and choose the best option for your set up0 -
thanks, that will work but it will not give HD video to the TV
thats really what im trying to do0 -
you dont have to have the video through component.
i have my ps3 outputting video via HDMI and the audio through the phono leads0 -

if i use it for the video, via hdmi-dvi lead
where can i get audio out of the ps3 via phono leads0 -
there should be a lead in the box that the ps3 came in which looks like this. it plus into one of the ports at the back next to the hdmi slot i think0

thanks yes i think that will work
i use a hdmi - dvi lead for hd picture, and use the supplied av leads to get the sound. Do i need to set sound out to avi in the ps3, and what colour red white or yellow is sound on? cheers0 -
White is Left channel, red is right channel for your sound. Yellow is for component connection to the TV, if you are not using the HDMI

i think the setting you need is in settings > sound settings > output settings > Audio Input Connector / SCART / AV MULTI0
