Advice on getting a new laptop

Quickie on open windows
I use IE6 on XP When I have 3 windows open, they stack nicely on the bar across the bottom (very technical speak I know :o ). When I open a fourth, they all sit on top of each other. Is there anyway that I can expand how many I want open on the bottom bar side-b-side or not? Thanks.
