Do Tiscali restrict your usage?

For example I want to connect to something that might resemble Lemoncable but can't mention for legal reasons! ;)

But sometimes I connect and sometimes I don't!

Tiscali have no restrictions in that way that I know of, all ISPs have AUP etc that they enforce to differing levels but they really would be shooting themselves in the foot if they tried to stop traffic going to certain sites as it would have repercussions.
Can you traceroute or ping the site you are trying to connect to? Sometimes it's a routing issue rather than an ISP enforcing some form of policy.

I was with tiscali for 6 months - started 12 months ago - on their 1mb service, when the new 8mb came in my area, because i had registered interest before (via entering email on the site) they upgraded to 8mb for free :)

When i was with them they had a 'fair usage' policy, during peak hours which meant no more than 1 or 2 gig of traffic in the day 8am-5pm, but at night it was unlimited.

If you cant stick to this they email 3 times, and put you on a slower port limited network during the day, then ask you if youd like to cancel the contract - for free!

    hope its helpful

Google Tiscali and 'Lemoncable' for some info on this. Might just be the time of day when lots of other people are using the internet.

Traceroute and ping refer to opening a command prompt and pinging the web site address, but it probably doesn't apply in this case.
