Network sharing help please.
Whilst my desktop (DT) was at the repairers, we bought a laptop (LT). We set the laptop up on wireless with the belkin modem/router and got the usb adaptor thing for the DT. I have managed to connect the DT up today, plugged the usb thing in etc, and it is running from the wireless connection with no probs, but I need a…

Hi all, Two questions here, 1) I've just got the above phone, I want a bluetooth dongle for it. When I goto ebay I can see specific bluetooth dongles for the sont ericcson phones or a universal one...which is best? Any positives/negatives to both types? 2) I want to set my phone up so I can send emails. I'm with o2, but…

Deskjet printers?
Hi, I am on a mission to find a cheap printer, mainly for documents etc, but also good enough to print 6 x 4 photos if and when required. I see that Smiths are doing a 3550c Deskjet HP for £30, which seems cheap, but not sure whether it will do the job for the photos. The link:…

Belkin router/modem problem
There's a certain forum I visit and every now and then I get "page not available" come up. When I re-boot the router it clears the problem. Thing is it's getting more and more regular and is a real pain - it will be fine one minute and I'm happily posting away, then just go. Is this a fault or something not right in my set…

TV-out from a GeForce4 gfx card? Help please
Right... I've finally got a long enough s-video cable to link up my PC to my TV. My gfx card is a Nvidia GeForce4 Ti 4200. But all that shows on the TV screen is a colour bar test card thing. Any ideas? I ran the TV wizard thing from the geforce control panel, but that just converted the testcard into garbled flickering…

DIGITAL TV - What do you know?
When we all have to switch to digital TV starting in 2008, how much will we have spent unneccesarily on gadgets and equipment because we don't understand digital things? Do we know the cheapest way to go until then? The purpose of this thread is for people who have little or no clue about digital things (who don't have…

Hi everyone :) I have about 5 or 6 programmes that are set to run on start-up, e.g. ZA, AVG, MS Antispyware and a couple of things I use regularly for easy access, but I've noticed recently that when I reboot my PC, not all the icons are appearing in the systray every time. It often takes several reboots for everything to…

DELL Printer Cartridges
Can anyone advise if you must use Dell's own brand cartridges in their printers (as they are quite expensive) or can you use other manufactures brands? I got the printer free with a laptop but the original cartridges were pretty small. I am looking for the equivalent of a Dell Black M4640 and a M4646 Colour. Many thanks.

PC Mic won't work
Hi all, my girlfriend is trying to record some narrative for a video she has made on her PC. She asked me to sort out the microphone for this which prompted me to go out and buy a USB one (Logitech approx £20.00). This seemed to work fine however there was too much background noise so I returned it. I then went out and…

Sony TFT's
Although I have checked on PC-Pro's website I can only find reviews for the Sony 17" SDM-HS75P S/B (silver or black finish), but cannot find anything about the 19" version - the SDM-HS95P S/B. The 17" version has very good reviews but would ideally like a 19" version if the reviews are as good. Anyone any ideas where I can…
