Am looking for charting s/ware, preferably free, to look at TA of stocks / share prices. Anyone use anything / recommendations / point me in the right direction?

You will find very helpful details there of all sorts of charting packages. You may need to register to access the Trade to Win board but this is free.
I am a Forex trader and can thoroughly recommend Metatrader 4 or Strategy Builder which are totally free packages with all the technical indicators you could wish for but these are for Forex and a few indices and not for shares.0
