You know when people say look here and you click on the word here and it links to whatever. Sorry to be ignorant, but how do you do that?

POSTS HELD IN LIMBO
This morning the last post was registered as the mse arms at 9.06 ,when I went to read it the thread also says last post 9.06 but go into the thread and the post is not there..............it is held in limbo until another post is made,then it appears :-/ This had happened a lot lately , can anyone explain what is happening…

Hello ive been around reading and enjoying the site for quite a long time now, but i woundered if theres was anywhere on the site that could give me advice on how to do alot of the fancy stuff that i see in other posts ie fancy coloured writing, pics and those cool avatars that most people have. thanks

Zone Alarm keeps logging me out of chat forum
Zone alarm keeps logging me out of chat forum on this site. Anyone know how to prevent this without shutting down Zone Alarm so that I still have the protection of a firewall ?

Where can I get free smilies?
Where can I get free smilies? I have tried and can only find sites like smiley central, which stuffs up my pc or ones which have adware in and are blocked by my system IE huntbar I've seen so many people on here with cool animated smilies etc and I'd like some too!

Wanadoo Broadband access from all Rooms
We have BT Landline with Connctions in all rooms. We have recently Subscribed to Wanadoo Broadband. How do we use Wanadoo Internet from all rooms using different PC, Laptop. What Hardware, Software, Connctions, Wiring etc would we need. Would that allow simultaneous access.

This board - Change name?
I've noticed a lot of general techie questions on this board lately that have had to be moved to the techie board. I think a lot of people just read "Technical Questions" and don't read "about this site" maybe change the board name? eg. "This site - suggestions and questions"

Long link suggestion
Long links mess up the format of the page and makes them difficult to read. If you don't know anything about programming, shortening a link is not that easy to do. How about having a sticky at the top of each forums for a bit that is titled something like "Very easy way to shorten links". In the thread it would say…

Hi, I've been trying to upload a seasonal avatar to my profile, but for some reason it won't work. I can post the image no probs, it's just the setting it as my avatar bit. I've uploaded avatars before, so it's not the "knowing what to do bit" stumped :(

Search facility not working?
Is the search link not working, or is it just me. for about a week now, when i request a search ( eg for something very common, which i now exists)..the message returns as "sorry, no searches found' can anyone help/advise?? thanks
