help on doing stuff

Hello

ive been around reading and enjoying the site for quite a long time now, but i woundered if theres was anywhere on the site that could give me advice on how to do alot of the fancy stuff that i see in other posts ie fancy coloured writing, pics and those cool avatars that most people have.

to get an avatar you just have to go to your profile and type the pics url into the "I have my own pic" box

You can get pics in many places. harry the cat is popular with many people here

To find out a pic's url just right-click it and select "properties'

If you see an effect in someone elses post that you like, a simple thing to do is click the "quote" button in their post. When the reply box appers you will see the text they used to create the effect

Thankyou very much for your help, the site is great by the way, cant wait to have a good look through but so many to choice from, i'm spoilt for choice. lol Thanks for the codes too, that makes things so much easier. ;D
