I am thinking of putting it into NS&i Index-linked savings certificates but…

Egg not shown on Table linking Banks together
Can anybody please advise why Egg wasn't included on Martin's useful Savings Table which shows which banks are linked together for the purposes of Compensation. I know the building societies don't appear, but I thought Egg was a bank and should therefore have been included ?? I believe it's owned by somebody else but not…

Old Savings Accounts
Whilst having a clearout recently, I found an old Post Office savings book and a Norwich & Peterborough one. I can undestand now why, when you come to close an account, you are encouraged to keep it open by leaving in a small amount. There has been £1.09 in the P.O. Book since 1986 - I wonder how much that has grown into…

Icesave nominated accounts
I have always had 2 nominated accounts set up for my Icesave savings account. Last week, I deleted one of the nominated accounts online and requested another account to be linked in writing. To-day, I was told that they changed the T&Cs in October and that you can only have 1 nominated account now. Strangely, in December…

Foreign tracker funds?
I'm looking to dip my toe into investing in China, India and Brazil or Latin America, but would prefer to avoid actively managed funds in favour of a tracker type fund, tracking the local equivalent of the FTSE. Does anyone do tracker funds for any of these countries? If so, where do I look? I've never been able to find…

More wise Words from the 'Sage of Omaha'
....actually it's more of the same....Mr Buffet has one basic approach and has stuck to it through thick and thin to great effect.
