Are you 16-20??

Options
If like me you are this should be of interest...

Alliance & Leicester Premier 21 account: 10% AER upto £1000, but the most beneficial part...exclusive access (only available to 16-20 year olds who hold a Premier 21 current account) to their 10% AER ISA.

This is a fantastic deal, there is no mention of this whatsoever (from what I can see) on the site which is why I feel compelled to post the information here. I have a feeling it may not have made the pages of the site because of the limited market its aimed at (16-20 year olds).

I am 20 so unfortunately will only be able to benefit from this great package for 9 months, but hopefully there's a few others out there who will recognise what a great opportunity this is.

Yes, seems a good account just a shame I have no A & L branches near me. Does anyone know if you can pay into this account anywhere else other than in one of their branches?

If I didn't have just less than three months until I turned 21 :( , I would almost certainly switch. But like it has been said already, it's definitely a good deal for those who can meet the criteria.

You can use your A&L card to pay in via Post Office counters.

No one else will benefit at the same rate for much longer than that .... as the Premier 21 interest rate crashes down to (BofE base rate Minus 1%) in Apr 09.

It has been mentioned in threads before ... but I do recollect someone mentioning the Premier 21 was a monthly fee account ...... which does not appear to be the case.
