Has anyone else had trouble trying to draw money from an Alliance & Leicester online savings account. My wife has been trying to draw out money for over one month. She regularly telephones (0870 Number!!) and receives promises that a cheque will be sent but it never is. Does anyone have a higher point of contact at Annoyance & Pester or is it doing a Northern Rock?

Havent tried my online banking yet but i cant withdraw money from atms at the moment which is really annoying as i cant buy anything (thats also good 'cos im saving too) But the only number i have is an 0875 one which too costs a fortune to phone and the staff dont seem to have much idea what im saying theyd just rather try and sell me card protection - hello if my card dont work why bother protecting it??
